Neither are strangers to cameras, and most viewers will recognize one if not both.<\/p>\n<p>One is <em>Million Dollar Listing<\/em> star Tracy Tutor.<\/p>\n<p>The other is Leah Remini, famous actress and famous anti-Scientology activist.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DchfZPHCDAP\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>Normally, we\u2019d have to quibble (however politely) about reports on casting.<\/p>\n<p>However, when the news broke on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DchfZPHCDAP\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instagram<\/a>, Remini replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s true!!\u201d she wrote, sharing the post so that her own followers wouldn\u2019t have to find out from someone else.<\/p>\n<p>The Season 16 cast will also include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/04\/is-kyle-richards-really-quitting-the-real-housewives-of-beverly-hills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kyle Richards<\/a>, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Bozoma Saint John, Sutton Stracke, and Rachel Zoe.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll be seeing Jennifer Tilly as a \u201cFriend of\u201d this season. Unfortunately, we can also expect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/06\/kathy-hilton-bows-out-weho-pride-trump-ties\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kathy Hilton<\/a> to show up as well. That remains true of even big names in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n<p>(Who among us would have predicted Denise Richards\u2019 biggest storyline when she was first cast?)<\/p>\n<p>In the case of Lean Remini, however, we do know two big things that she has gone through that will, at the very least, inform her choices and attitudes.<\/p>\n<p>The first is that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/08\/leah-remini-and-angelo-pagan-to-divorce-after-21-years-of-marriage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">she is divorced<\/a>. In 2024, she and her long-time husband split after over two decades of marriage. That is an adjustment, even two years out.<\/p>\n<p>More famously, Remini\u2019s innocent questions about Shelly Miscavige\u2019s whereabouts in 2006 led to her apparent persecutions by the Church of Scientology. Eventually, she and her family escaped from the widely condemned organization, and she has used her platform to speak out against them ever since.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DPpGQFFEuei\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>Within a couple of years of escaping the Church of Scientology, Leah Remini and her immediately family converted to Catholicism.<\/p>\n<p>Though Catholicism is a religion and has never, to our knowledge, been classified as a predatory business by any government entity, there are some superficial and structural similarities.<\/p>\n<p>This seems like a natural leap for someone who grew up in Scientology, as both are powerful institutions that own property all over the world, have a confessional apparatus, and are deeply controversial.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear if Remini\u2019s new beliefs will be a factor as she joins the <em>Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em> cast, however.<\/p>\n<p>We may end up seeing her work, her relationships, her activism, or even feuds as she enters her Bravo era.
