Harry Styles<\/strong><\/a> kicked off his record-breaking 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Wednesday, August 26, with the most electric show of his career.<\/p>\n

For the latest leg of his Together, Together<\/em> tour, Styles, 32, introduced an entirely revamped show full of surprises for his sold-out crowd, including a completely different setlist than the one he performed in Amsterdam, London, S\u00e3o Paulo and Mexico City earlier this year.<\/p>\n

After English DJ Jamie xx<\/strong> warmed up the audience, Styles and his band sauntered onto his in-the-round stage immediately, marking a seamless but unconventional transition that gave fans zero time to refresh their drinks or use the bathroom in between the artists\u2019 sets.<\/p>\n

Not that anyone seemed to mind. From the moment Styles made his arrival in a white tuxedo jacket and black pants until he took his final (and much sweatier) bow nearly two hours later, deafening screams and applause filled the world\u2019s most famous arena.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHarry Styles has had quite the transformation since the early days of his career. The Brit entered into the spotlight in 2010 after trying out for The X Factor UK. During Styles\u2019 time on the show, creator and judge Simon Cowell paired him with fellow contestants Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Styles opened his concert with a party-starting rendition of \u201cDance No More,\u201d the current single from his fourth album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.<\/em>, before singing \u201cCarolina\u201d from his self-titled 2017 debut for the first time in years. His electric energy carried through \u201cMusic for a Sushi Restaurant\u201d and \u201cCinema,\u201d both from 2022\u2019s Harry\u2019s House<\/em>, followed by \u201cAdore You\u201d and \u201cWatermelon Sugar,\u201d two of his singles from 2019\u2019s Fine Line<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had the great privilege of playing this building for the first time when I was 18 years old,\u201d the former One Direction member told the crowd early on. \u201cThere\u2019s a gentleman who was working here then who shared with me [today] that when I got out of the car that day, I kissed the floor and said, \u2018I made it to Madison Square Garden.\u2019 \u2026 Since then, we\u2019ve learned a lot about germs, so I wouldn\u2019t be caught dead kissing the floor these days with my pathetic immune system. However, it is not lost on me what it means to play here, and I am truly honored to be back here.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the night continued, Styles played fan favorites such as \u201cSatellite\u201d and \u201cAmerican Girls,\u201d in addition to hit singles including \u201cAs It Was\u201d and \u201cSign of the Times.\u201d The biggest reaction, though, came during \u201cKiwi,\u201d which had been a staple on all of his solo tours until it was shockingly omitted from Together, Together<\/em>. For its grand return, Styles introduced a funky remix of the rock track that swelled even more than the original. Fans embraced the updated arrangement, all but ensuring that it will have a permanent place in the set once again.<\/p>\n
