Legal documents filed in the Superior Court of the State of California regarding Rebel Wilson<\/strong><\/a>‘s legal battle has have been unveiled, and you may not realize there’s a connection to Blake Lively<\/strong>‘s legal battle with Justin Baldoni<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Back in summer 2024, Rebel<\/strong> first called out The Deb<\/em> producers for inappropriate behavior and embezzlement, and said they were burying the movie and holding it from being released. The producers then filed a defamation lawsuit, as did the star of the movie, Charlotte MacInnes<\/strong><\/a>, who was reportedly at the center of the inappropriate behavior. Rebel<\/strong> spoke out publicly in November 2025 about all of the allegations<\/a> involved in the lawsuits.<\/p>\n

Now, lawyers for a producer on the movie, Amanda Ghost<\/strong>, have filed some legal documents.<\/p>\n

Amanda <\/strong>submitted alleged text message correspondence, which she claims to be between Rebel <\/strong>and crisis PR expert Melissa Nathan<\/strong>. Melissa Nathan<\/strong> is a name that has come up time and time again in the Blake Lively<\/strong> trial, and she alleges her company helped run a smear campaign against her during the It Ends with Us<\/em> drama.<\/p>\n

In one text, Melissa Nathan<\/strong> allegedly asked Rebel Wilson<\/strong>: \u201cAre you on Signal?\u201d <\/p>\n

Rebel Wilson<\/strong> allegedly responded: \u201cNo.\u201d <\/p>\n

Melissa Nathan<\/strong> allegedly laid out the purchase of an \u201cuntraceable site,\u201d including a “satellite, ghost server, ghost hosting, full build, maintaining, and full algorithmic push across all platforms\u2026 for 3 months.” It was said to have cost $110,000.<\/p>\n

Another message has Rebel <\/strong>allegedly reaching back out and writing, \u201cQuestion \u2013 did you receive my text for the website?\u201d I never received an invoice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Melissa Nathan <\/strong>allegedly responded, \u201cMorning, so sorry I was asleep. We have full text for the website we hadn\u2019t heard from you \u2013 I know that it was a tough few days your end so I didn\u2019t want to keep bugging. Your business manager has already sorted this with Bryan\u2019s office. It will be up shortly once this is done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rebel<\/strong>‘s lawyer Allyson Thompson released the following statement to People<\/a>: \u201cToday\u2019s motion filed by Amanda Ghost is, by its very nature, one-sided and thus incomplete. This case is in active litigation and involves thousands of documents and a large number of witnesses. Although we would love to comment in substance to the allegations, California ethical rules limit this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, leaked audio seemed to show that Rebel<\/strong>\u2018s PR team was planning an alleged smear campaign against Amanda Ghost<\/strong><\/a>, who is the producer of the movie.<\/p>\n

Rebel<\/strong> also apparently worked with digital fixer Jed Wallace<\/strong>, who was also part of Justin Baldoni<\/strong>\u2018s crisis PR team during the It Ends With Us <\/em>scandal.<\/p>\n
