Sydney Sweeney gave a shout out to Tom Cruise<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old Euphoria actress followed in the highflying footsteps of the adrenaline-fuelled action star, who has been doing his own blockbuster stunts for decades.<\/p>\n
In 2025 movie Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, he took that to another level, and now Sydney has recreated his aerial acrobatics.<\/p>\n
In an Instagram post, the blond bombshell shared footage from a wing walk over the Kent countryside in the south of England.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
She was strapped to the top of a biplane and soared as part of the daring feet.<\/p>\n
\nShe cheekily captioned the clip: “Watch out tom cruise (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nSydney, who wore goggles and a vest for the stunt, was attached the plane as it flipped upside down and flew in loops.<\/p>\n
\nAs reported by the BBC, Michael Pickin – director and pilot at The Wing Walk Company – admitted Sydney was “a bit apprehensive at first”.<\/p>\n
\nHowever, he described her as “an adrenaline junkie at heart”.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: “Adrenaline experiences like skydiving have been around for a long time and everybody knows about them, but wing-walking is relatively new.<\/p>\n
\n“Hopefully, this will help show more people what we do.”<\/p>\n
\nWhen Tom Cruise did his wing walk, he was on an 80-year-old Stearman biplane travelling at 140mph, 8,000 feet in the air.<\/p>\n
\nIn a behind the scenes flip from The Final Reckoning, he said: “Few things inspire me quite like an aerial sequence.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSince I was a kid I always wanted to do wing-walking. I saw an old black and white film. I was like man, what would it be like to do that?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMission: Impossible writer and director Christopher McQuarrie admitted there were challenges with the stunt, as Tom was without a radio, while even slight temperature changes ran the risk of hypothermia.<\/p>\n
\nThe filmmaker told GQ: “The wind is hitting him not only at the speed that the plane is flying but the wind coming off the propeller. It\u2019s hitting him at well over a hundred-plus miles an hour.<\/p>\n
\n“There were times when Tom would have to lay down on the wing to rest between takes. You can\u2019t tell if he\u2019s conscious or not.<\/p>\n
\n“And unless Tom pats the top of his head [as the hand signal for stop] it\u2019s like, keep rolling.\u201d<\/p>\n
