Below Deck Mediterranean\u2019s Captain Sandy Yawn<\/strong> tried to interject when Max Salvador<\/strong> considered helping his father flee from Africa.<\/p>\n

During the Monday, August 24, episode<\/a> of the hit Bravo show, Max received a call from his father, who he previously said kicked him out as a teenager. The deckhand was able to get in touch with his dad after years of estrangement.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy father called me [because] he is in deep s***. Really urgent,\u201d Max told the cameras. \u201cHe had been enrolled in a criminal organization of laundering money.\u201d<\/p>\n

Max told Captain Sandy he was thinking of leaving the charter season early.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAs soon as you step foot on a Below Deck Mediterranean charter yacht, you\u2019re guaranteed one thing: a whole lot of drama. Throughout its Bravo run, crew members like Captain Sandy Yawn, Hannah Ferrier, Malia White and more have been know to butt heads with each other \u2014 all with the purpose of delivering a [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMy father is now in Tunisia and some criminal organization has arrived to receive a check, put it on his bank account and redraw the money,\u201d he explained. \u201cHe was doing it to make extra money and now the bank saw the fraud so they closed the bank account and he can\u2019t give the money to the guys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Max continued: \u201cHe can\u2019t even leave the country because he doesn\u2019t have enough money. Now I am going to go to Tunisia to get him out of the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

The captain suggested that Max \u201ccall the French embassy\u201d instead. As the episode came to an end, Max explained why he was in a rush<\/a> to help his dad.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to do what my father didn\u2019t do for me,\u201d he said. \u201cI will send an act of love to my father even after everything he did. I will not let him go. Tomorrow I will take my father and take him straight to Libya.\u201d<\/p>\n

Max\u2019s idea didn\u2019t sound good to Captain Sandy. Before a \u201cTo Be Continued\u201d message appeared on screen, Sandy urged Max not to get caught up in his father\u2019s issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are going to go right in the middle of danger?\u201d she asked. \u201cLibya has a warning, \u2018Do not travel for any reason due to crime and terrorism.\u2019 That is your border. I am not going to sugarcoat anything, Max. I am going to tell you this, doing what you are doing is not smart. Now you are going to risk your life?\u201d<\/p>\n

Max returned to the franchise earlier this year after he previously worked<\/a> with Captain Sandy. He quickly found himself caught in some drama when Nathan Gallagher surprised Max by asking him to secretly side with him instead of Joe Bradley amid their feud.<\/p>\n

Mathew Shea set a record for Below Deck Mediterranean when he made several departures during season 6. The chef initially left the boat when he suffered a knee injury that required medical attention. In an August episode, Max joined the crew while Nathan was healing from a back injury. Max ultimately started working under Joe, who was temporarily the new boson. Nathan\u2019s absence paved the way for Joe to make moves as bosun \u2014 with Max supporting him potential move up.<\/p>\n

At the end of the episode, Max received a text from Nathan, which read, \u201cI\u2019m sure Joe\u2019s been in your ear. I\u2019m gonna get back to the boat at some point, and I need you.\u201d<\/p>\n
