Tom Selleck<\/strong><\/a> is returning to television!<\/p>\n

The 81-year-old actor hasn’t been seen in a project since the end of his CBS series Blue Bloods<\/em><\/strong> in 2024. <\/p>\n

Tom<\/strong> is best known for playing New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan on the long-running series, as well as his roles as Thomas Magnum on Magnum P.I.<\/em> and Dr. Richard Burke on Friends<\/em>. <\/p>\n

All about Tom Selleck’s next role on television<\/h3>\n

Tom<\/strong> has joined an upcoming untitled Apple TV comedy series in a guest starring role, joining Elizabeth Banks, Ted Danson<\/strong><\/a>, Rob Delaney<\/strong><\/a>, and Katey Sagal<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n

Deadline<\/a> reports that the show “follows Heidi (Banks<\/strong>), who is fresh off a messy divorce and sets out to secure a lively second act for herself and her kids. But when she stumbles into coordinating her father\u2019s (Danson<\/strong>) retirement community sexcapades, Heidi is forced into an unlikely alliance with his girlfriend\u2019s perpetually single son.”<\/p>\n

Details about Tom<\/strong>‘s character are not known as of this time. The show is being created by Will Trent <\/em>showrunner Liz Heldens<\/em> and Madam Secretary<\/em> co-executive producer Matt Ward<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Tom never wanted Blue Bloods to end<\/h3>\n

Tom<\/strong> previously revealed that he was upset over the cancellation of Blue Bloods<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very frustrating because Blue Bloods<\/em> was, out of the top 100 shows on broadcast television, Blue Bloods<\/em> was No. 6 in our 15th year,\u201d Selleck<\/strong> said on Ted Danson<\/strong>‘s podcast. \u201cNobody wanted to leave, everybody was gonna stay on. That\u2019s hard to get.\u201d<\/p>\n

He has revealed some insider salary info<\/a> on the canceled show. <\/p>\n
