The Heroes and Nashville star died on August 16 after being found unresponsive at a residence in Greenville, South Carolina. <\/p>\n
Authorities have said there were no signs of trauma or foul play, while her official cause and manner of death remain undetermined pending toxicology results. <\/p>\n
Against that background, former neighbor Mia Terrazas has told Page Six she saw Hayden removed from her West Hollywood residence by emergency workers on July 29, 2023, and January 16, 2024.<\/p>\n

Mia said Hayden appeared to have \u201cbruises\u201d and \u201cbright red spots\u201d during the incidents and added her ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson, 37, was present and \u201cglued to\u201d her on both occasions. <\/p>\n
\nMia\u2019s daughter, Vileena Koneru, also told Page Six she also witnessed both incidents.<\/p>\n
\nMia said during the July 2023 incident she approached Hayden while she was on the gurney and asked whether she was alright. <\/p>\n
\nAccording to Mia, Hayden replied she was.<\/p>\n
\nVileena said she and her mother raised their \u201cconcerns\u201d with first responders when another incident occurred in January 2024.<\/p>\n
\nMia also claimed she repeatedly heard \u201cmuffled arguments\u201d coming from Hayden\u2019s home, describing them as \u201cvery hostile\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cYou can tell somebody\u2019s arguing just by the tonality.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMia claimed that on another occasion she heard Hayden screaming at Brian in an elevator: \u201cJust leave me alone! Just stop!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBrian had previously faced criminal proceedings stemming from allegations involving Hayden. <\/p>\n
\nIn 2021, he pleaded no contest to two felony counts of injuring a spouse or girlfriend and received a jail sentence and probation. <\/p>\n
\nHayden later wrote about their relationship and the abuse she experienced in her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, which was published in May.<\/p>\n
\nBrian publicly addressed his past behavior in an interview with TMZ in May.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI got arrested for abusing her, and I wouldn\u2019t blame her friends for being p***** off with me, so I don\u2019t really have much to say on that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cYou never lay hands on a woman, bottom line.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDiscussing an incident Hayden described in her memoir, Brian said: \u201cThere\u2019s a story where I was drunk, right? Hayden was standing across the room and I had a phone in my hand and I said, \u2018Hayden, I\u2019ll give you 10 seconds to run as fast as you can before I throw it at you\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cWho wants to read something about themselves, right? But you gotta be vulnerable and I did it. I did it, so.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHayden\u2019s memoir detailed her experiences with addiction, fame, relationships and her years working in Hollywood. <\/p>\n
\nHer book became a New York Times and USA Today bestseller following its publication.<\/p>\n
\nHayden\u2019s death three months later prompted tributes to a career that had begun in childhood and included Remember the Titans before she became internationally known as cheerleader Claire Bennet in Heroes. <\/p>\n
\nShe later played country singer Juliette Barnes in Nashville, a performance that earned her two Golden Globe nominations.<\/p>\n
\nCharles Esten, who starred opposite Hayden as Deacon Claybourne in Nashville, paid tribute to his former co-star at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday (22.08.26), dedicating his song Somewhere in the Sunshine to her. <\/p>\n
\nCharles recalled meeting Hayden during his audition for the series and described his former colleague as a \u201cbright, shining light\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nHayden\u2019s mother, Lesley Vogel, 70, has also spoken publicly since her daughter\u2019s death, telling Good Morning America the pair had been estranged for periods amid disagreements over Hayden\u2019s relationship with Brian. <\/p>\n
\nLesley said she wanted her daughter to be remembered for her beauty, intelligence and talent.<\/p>\n
\nHayden\u2019s father, Skip Panettiere, announced her death in a family statement.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cIt is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSkip added: \u201cShe was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her \u2013 and to the millions who watched her onscreen. We ask for privacy as our family takes time to process this unimaginable loss.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nGreenville authorities said emergency personnel attempted to resuscitate Hayden before she was pronounced dead. <\/p>\n
\nAn autopsy found no signs of trauma, but the investigation remains open while officials await toxicology results, which the Greenville County Coroner\u2019s Office has said could take several weeks.<\/p>\n
\nBrian\u2019s attorney has said: \u201cHayden\u2019s death remains under investigation and it is important to allow that investigation to proceed. As has been publicly reported, police confirmed there were no signs of foul play.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cOut of respect for Hayden\u2019s loved ones and the ongoing investigation, there will be no further comment at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n
