Sharna Burgess is returning to Dancing With the Stars<\/p>\n
\nThe 41-year-old dancer last competed on the show in 2021’s season 30, but it has now been confirmed she will be back in the ballroom for the upcoming season 35 and is delighted to be “home” again.<\/p>\n
\nA post on the official Dancing with the Stars Instagram account read: \u201cA little birdie told us an absolute firecracker is back in the ballroom. Please give @sharnaburgess a warm welcome on her return as a #DWTS pro.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd Sharna – whose last celebrity partner on the show was fiance Brian Austin Green – added on Good Morning America on Monday (24.08.26): \u201cI\u2019m back! Some of you guys guessed it \u2026 I\u2019m back on Dancing With the Stars, baby. I\u2019m gonna be competing for that Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. I can\u2019t wait to be back in the ballroom with my dancing family. And mostly, it feels so good to be coming home. I\u2019ll see you all soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nNews of Sharna’s comeback comes after fellow professional Witney Carson – who is pregnant with her third baby – confirmed she’d be part of the show when it returns to screens next month.<\/p>\n
\nSharna teased earlier this month she would love to return to Dancing With the Stars. <\/p>\n
\nShe told Us Weekly: “We actually discussed it last year, and it was by no means a \u2018Please come back’. It wasn\u2019t a hard offer on the table, but there was definitely a temperature check.”<\/p>\n
\nSharna acknowledged that she wasn’t ready at the time, as she was still revelling in the experience of being a first-time mother to her and Brian’s four-year-old son Zane.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “My son was not in school yet, and I was building on other things. I\u2019ve been acting and doing a lot of other stuff, too.”<\/p>\n
\nBut now, Sharna admits that she would jump at the opportunity to return to the dancefloor.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “When I woke up that morning \u2014 like, a little over a year ago \u2014 and I was like, \u2018I need dance back in my life.\u2019 If they were to ask me this year, I would absolutely say yes.<\/p>\n
\n“I think I still have a lot more to give.”<\/p>\n
\nDespite this, Sharna doesn’t want her return to come at anyone else’s expense.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “The cast is incredible and I would never, ever, ever want to take someone\u2019s spot. I would never want to get a position, which means someone else doesn\u2019t have one. I love all of the women on that cast.<\/p>\n
\n“They\u2019re so powerful. They\u2019re so different. I think they\u2019re inspiring millions across the country, too. So, if there isn\u2019t a spot that I could be extra, I will forever be in the audience cheering them on.”<\/p>\n
\nSharna and Bobby Bones lifted the Mirrorball Trophy in season 27, and she has also previously partnered the likes of Andy Dick, Antonio Brown, Nick Carter, and Jesse Metcalfe.<\/p>\n
