Stella Lefty<\/strong><\/a> is revealing what happened behind-the-scenes with her hit song, “Boston.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The 24-year-old singer-songwriter and daughter of Groupon co-founder multi-billionaire Eric Lefkofsky<\/strong>, recently spoke out in a new interview about her music.<\/p>\n

During the conversation, she addressed “Boston,” which has gone on to become a Top 3 hit in the United States.<\/p>\n

“Boston” is about her boyfriend, Vincent Mason<\/strong><\/a>, and she wrote it right after they met in Nashville.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was the first week of us. Oh my god,” she recalled to Vanity Fair.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI wrote the chorus to \u2018Boston,\u2019 posted it, and didn\u2019t think about it at all. I woke up the next morning and [the video] had done relatively well,” she continued.<\/p>\n

Some fans pointed out that it sounded similar to Noah Kahan<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s 2024 single \u201cStick Season.”<\/p>\n

“When I was writing the song, I wasn\u2019t thinking about Noah Kahan<\/strong>. I was literally thinking about nothing at all.\u201d <\/p>\n

His reps got in touch and said: \u201cWe think this sounds similar.”<\/p>\n

She and her team decided to give Noah<\/strong> a writing credit before the song officially came out to prevent a lawsuit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want to step on anybody\u2019s toes, so I\u2019m like, if this sounds like that, whatever, all good,” Stella <\/strong>said.<\/p>\n

Noah <\/strong>recently clarified a lyric that fans thought was NSFW.<\/a><\/p>\n
