Andrew Garfield is addicted to Instagram<\/p>\n
The 43-year-old actor has admitted to being “addicted” to the photo-sharing platform – even though he doesn’t have a public-facing account.<\/p>\n
The Hollywood star told Variety: “I\u2019m as addicted as anybody. My screen time notifications are horrific to me. It\u2019s like, I\u2019ve given all of those hours to nothing.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s genuinely enraging because we don\u2019t have as much control over these impulses as we should, and it\u2019s been by design. It\u2019s pretty dark when you look at it.”<\/p>\n

Andrew explained that he explores “weird ceramics” and “lots of Japanese kind of craftspeople” through Instagram.<\/p>\n
\nThe actor also admitted that he’d love to escape the spotlight, in spite of his success.<\/p>\n
\nAsked if he’s thought about leaving his acting career “behind”, Andrew replied: “All the time. <\/p>\n
\n“I\u2019ve worked a lot this year. I\u2019ve done like 11 months, 12 months, straight back-to-back projects. I want people to see those projects, so I\u2019m gonna have to tell people about them. I get that. <\/p>\n
\n“But if I had my druthers, people would just see them, and I could go whittle wood in the Somerset countryside and think about what the birds might be doing.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Andrew starred alongside Florence Pugh in We Live in Time, the romantic drama film, in 2024, and the actor previously admitted that he initially felt “really scared” about working with the actress.<\/p>\n
\nHe told People: “I was really scared. I think we were both really scared and nervous because it takes a while to get to know someone.<\/p>\n
\n“There’s layers there. There’s defences there.”<\/p>\n
\nDespite his fame and success, Andrew admitted to being “quite shy and quite protective”, meaning that it takes him a long time to feel comfortable around new people.<\/p>\n
\nThe film star – who is dating actress Monica Barbaro – said: “I am someone, who on first meeting someone, I can be quite shy and quite protective and it takes me a while to really let someone know me. But then, when they’re in, there’s no getting out.”<\/p>\n
