Chris Pratt<\/a>, 47, during an appearance on Chelsea Handler\u2019s Dear Chelsea podcast, with The Scary Movie star saying her boy has developed a strong interest in Christianity despite her not being raised religious \u2013\u00a0and admitting she regularly challenges him about some of his views.<\/p>\nAnna told Chelsea: \u201c(I) didn\u2019t grow up with religion.\u201d<\/p>\n
Discussing Jack\u2019s beliefs, she added he has asked her to accept Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

But she said she tries to \u201cchallenge\u201d him and admitted it would take a \u201cwhole lot of long conversations\u201d before she became religious.<\/p>\n
\nAnna also said their discussions have included Christian attitudes to abortion, adding: \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Do you think it\u2019s a luxury that you get to be pro-life? Do you think that\u2019s kind of a luxury?\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018Maybe\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnna said she had also questioned him about wealthy religious figures, adding: \u201cOr I\u2019ll say, \u2018So what do you think of this mega-pastor that\u2019s kind of a grifter? What do you think?\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, megapastors are the worst\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe actress said she welcomed Jack\u2019s willingness to question aspects of religion despite their differing backgrounds.<\/p>\n
\nShe added she is appreciative he\u2019s \u201cexamining religion the way he is in terms of recognising hypocrisy\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nAnna has Jack with Chris, who she married in 2009. <\/p>\n
\nThey announced their separation in 2017 and finalised their divorce the following year. <\/p>\n
\nAnna later married cinematographer Michael Barrett, while Chris married Katherine Schwarzenegger, with whom he has three children.<\/p>\n
\nChris, known for playing Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation and Peter Quill, or Star-Lord, in Marvel\u2019s Guardians of the Galaxy films, has repeatedly discussed his Christian faith publicly.<\/p>\n
\nHe previously said Jack\u2019s premature birth was pivotal in strengthening those beliefs. <\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to the Christian Post in March 2025, Chris said: \u201cHe had all of these issues going on. I prayed hard to God. I was in a season of transition spiritually at that time, and didn\u2019t quite fully understand. I made a deal with God again, \u2018I\u2019m sorry, God, here I am again, asking for your grace again\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nChris added: \u201cHe really saved my son, and that was the moment (my faith) was cemented.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnna\u2019s comments come as she has returned prominently to the screen. <\/p>\n
\nShe recently reprised Cindy Campbell, the role that helped establish her as a comedy star, in the latest Scary Movie installment and is appearing alongside Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher and Michelle Buteau in the comedy Spa Weekend, released on 21 August.<\/p>\n
\nHer other best-known film roles include playing Shelley Darlingson in The House Bunny and Samantha James in Just Friends, while she starred as Christy Plunkett opposite Allison Janney in the CBS sitcom Mom.<\/p>\n
