\nThe 56-year-old star has opened up about his pre-fame struggles, revealing that he was homeless before getting his big break in Hollywood.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to Town and Country, Taylor shared: “I was homeless twice. I lived in my car.”<\/p>\n
\nSheridan could’ve easily given up on his career dreams – but he always retained hope that he’d eventually find fame and success.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\nHe recalled: “I did that for six months. I could have decided at any point, \u2018I\u2019m going to go get a full-time job and I\u2019m going to give up this dream.\u2019 And I chose to sleep in my car over that.”<\/p>\n
\nSheridan starred in the hit TV series Sons of Anarchy before turning his focus to writing. <\/p>\n
\nThe Hollywood star enjoyed significant success as the writer of movies like Sicario and Hell or High Water, and he’s now revealed what he bought with his first big pay cheque.<\/p>\n
\nHe shared: “When I sold that first screenplay, I bought a little house on an acre on a river in Wyoming.<\/p>\n
\n“We moved there, and I wrote a cheque for it. Then, as I would start to have more success, I would buy a little bit more land beside it and get a couple horses. I\u2019m still so averse to having to ever owe anybody anything.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Taylor previously admitted that he isn’t a fan of Marvel movies.<\/p>\n
\nThe screenwriter has always admired originality and independent thinking in his professional life, but he doesn’t see that in the Marvel film franchise.<\/p>\n
\nDuring an appearance on the Bill Simmons Podcast, Taylor explained: “What everyone else was doing was taking shortcuts.<\/p>\n
\n“Essentially, breaking all the very basic, fundamental rules of storytelling. Because they couldn’t figure out their story.<\/p>\n
\n“With a movie, you’re supposed to show me what’s happening. The camera is supposed to move the story. The dialogue is supposed to tell me how the people in this world feel about what’s happening or what they hope to do or what they wish they hadn’t done or had done. <\/p>\n
\n“So, if you stick to that one basic rule from the beginning, never have a character tell me something that the camera could show me.”<\/p>\n
