Perez Hilton<\/strong><\/a>‘s mom has been granted temporary custody of the blogger’s three children.<\/p>\n

On August 18, a judge granted Teresita Lavandeira<\/strong> the power to do \u201call things necessary for the care\u201d of Mario<\/strong>, 13, Mia<\/strong>, 11, and Mayte<\/strong>, 8, amid the 48-year-old blogger’s hospitalization, Us Weekly<\/a><\/em> has confirmed.<\/p>\n

The judge’s ruling specifies that Perez<\/strong>, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr.<\/strong>, is still the children’s legal guardian, but that Teresita<\/strong> is taking custody on a temporary basis.<\/p>\n

Perez<\/strong> has also been allowed to have supervised visitation with his kids.<\/p>\n

Under the temporary arrangement, any \u201cvisitation with [Perez<\/strong> and his children] shall be supervised either with an agreed upon family member or a therapist until further order of the Court or agreement of the parties, so long as [Perez<\/strong>] has obtained psychiatric clearance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[Teresita<\/strong>] shall have authority to consent to all necessary and reasonable medical and dental care for the children, including nonemergency surgery and psychiatric care,\u201d the judge specified.<\/p>\n

Teresita <\/strong>has also received permission to “enroll the children in school and grant or withhold consent for the children to be tested or placed in special school programs.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you did not see, police were called<\/a> to Perez<\/strong>\u2019s Miami home earlier this month amid concerns as he appeared to commit acts of self-harm and was covered in blood during a livestream. He was then transported to the hospital, where he was reported earlier this week to be in serious but stable condition<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following the incident, Teresita<\/strong> filed for temporary custody<\/a> of her three grandchildren.<\/p>\n

In a new statement on his website, Perez<\/strong>‘s team said that “his treatment is continuing in an inpatient setting under the care of a dedicated team of medical and mental health professionals.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a recent interview, Perez<\/strong>\u2018s sister recounted what happened<\/a>, noting she did not recognize him when she looked at him.<\/p>\n
