Minnie Driver was involved in a frightening car crash in France recently<\/p>\n
The 56-year-old actress revealed earlier this month that she had been hospitalised following an incident on a country road in France and admits that she has been struggling to cope since the “near-death experience”.<\/p>\n
In a black-and-white Instagram clip from the French capital, Minnie said: “Paris update. It sucks being traumatised.<\/p>\n
“Like you look like you’re okay and you keep saying please and thank you and showing up but… You’re just not okay.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
“And now I’m in the club, this near-death experience club, and I really don’t like clubs.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Good Will Hunting star, who was with her friend Ben Homewood when the collision occurred, explained that the crash had left her “more keenly connected to this profound sadness” and added that “trying to find meaning in the accidental is driving me absolutely nuts”.<\/p>\n
\nMinnie explained that she feels lucky to be alive and asked her followers for advice on how to deal with trauma.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I’m here and I’m very grateful, and I guess that’s it.<\/p>\n
\n“I did the EMDR, doing the osteopathy; I’m looking deep within my soul. Any other tips you might have, let me know.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Riches actress explained that she has now returned to work and has praised her colleagues as the “kindest, most loving and supportive bunch of people I’ve ever worked with”.<\/p>\n
\nDriver added in the caption: “Addison and Henry and Paloma are also the greatest, funniest nurses. Wish I could have as much patience with myself as I would for a friend, maybe that’s the lesson. Sending all of you who have so kindly reached out all, all my love and thanks.”<\/p>\n
\nMinnie previously revealed that she had suffered a sprained neck and shock following the accident after the Kia EV2 that she was driving “T-boned” a vehicle “going at speed” that “didn’t stop at an intersection”.<\/p>\n
\nIn a video posted on Instagram, she said: “Hi, guys. Paris update is that I’m actually back in London. I’m sorry about the filter I put on this, but honestly, without it, I just looked appalling; even the dog wouldn’t look at me. <\/p>\n
\n“I got into a really bad car accident a few days ago with my friend Ben, and we somehow walked out of it. Well, we didn’t walk out of it. We crawled out of it. But we did get out of it alive. <\/p>\n
\n“To be very clear, it was not our fault. We were driving on a country road in the middle of France, and a car didn’t stop at an intersection, and was going at speed, and we just T-boned it. <\/p>\n
\n“I’m fine. I’ve got a sprained neck, and I’m really in shock, and sort of cry all the time, but I’m gonna heal.”<\/p>\n
