19 August 2026<\/time>\n <\/p>\nQuinton Aaron is “very optimistic” he will walk again.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nQuinton Aaron believes he will walk again<\/p>\n\nThe Blind Side actor was hospitalised after he suffered a spinal stroke in January, and subsequently slipped into a coma before going into cardiac arrest and having to be resuscitated multiple times, and he is determined to make the most of his life, with plans for a book and a podcast as he feels the progress he has made so far has been a “miracle”.<\/p>\n\nQuinton – who is still recovering at a rehab facility – told US Weekly magazine: \u201cIt\u2019s a miracle I\u2019m still here. My purpose moving forward is to take advantage of the second chance I\u2019ve been given.<\/p>\n\n \u201cI\u2019m excited to still be here, and to tell my story…<\/p>\n \t\t\t<\/p>\n\n“Whether it\u2019s in a chair or on my feet, I\u2019ll be on the screen again. I\u2019m writing a script, and I\u2019ll be directing in the future. I also plan on doing speaking tours to tell my story [and] to talk about the journey, the mental toughness, the emotional toughness, the feeling like you want to break but not doing it. <\/p>\n\n“Everything that I\u2019m experiencing, I feel like it wasn\u2019t just for me. It was for everyone else who\u2019s experiencing something similar. A lot of people give up, and I want to encourage them to do the opposite. I have to keep going. God didn\u2019t bring me back for nothing.”<\/p>\n\nIn the weeks after his medical emergency, Quinton’s family discovered Margarita DeLeon, who he had married in December 2024, was still legally wed to her previous husband, and the actor hasn’t spoken to her since then, which added a further “challenge” to his recovery, though he insisted he has forgiven her.<\/p>\n\nHe said: “It\u2019s definitely been a challenge dealing with that and the recovery.<\/p>\n\n“[Earlier on], a lot of things aggravated me easily, which spiked my blood pressure. When I was intubated, I was dealing with depression and anger and all these different emotions. <\/p>\n\n“So I got to this point where I had to completely shut all of that out. In order for me to move forward, I needed to completely remove her from my life. So that\u2019s what I did. <\/p>\n\n“As a Christian, I forgave her a long time ago because I didn\u2019t want to hold on to the anger and have it slow down my process of healing. I really do wish her well. I hope she gets the help she needs…<\/p>\n\n“We would\u2019ve never spoken if I knew she was married. I\u2019m not the type of person that messes with married women. She kept telling me she was divorced for 10-plus years.”<\/p>\n\nQuinton believes he has “dodged a bullet” after their marriage was “voided” and he’ll be more cautious when looking for love in the future.<\/p>\n\nHe said: “It was supposed to be a legal marriage. Thankfully, the marriage was voided. I didn\u2019t need to annul it because we weren\u2019t legally married. I dodged a bullet there.”<\/p>\n\nAsked if he’s ready to move on, he replied: “Absolutely. God has blessed me with a second chance to do it the right way. I\u2019m gonna leave him in charge of the love department. I got too much else to focus on. I was on Tinder. I was on Bumble. I was on Facebook dating. And I found her on TikTok.
