Farrah Abraham<\/strong><\/a> is finally revealing how much she says she was paid for starring on MTV\u2019s hit shows 16 and Pregnant<\/em> and Teen Mom<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was only $3,500 from that first one,\u201d the MTV personality, 35, claimed during the Tuesday, August 18, episode of the \u201cWe Need To Talk\u201d<\/a> podcast. \u201cAnd then I think I only got $25,000 from Teen Mom<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Farrah appeared in 2009\u2019s inaugural season of 16 and Pregnant<\/em> while she was pregnant with her and Derek Underwood<\/strong>\u2019s daughter, Sophia. She later joined the cast of Teen Mom<\/em>, a spinoff series that followed several of the original 16 and Pregnant<\/em> stars as they navigated new motherhood in their teens and post-high school life.<\/p>\n

While filming Teen Mom<\/em>, Farrah claimed that she learned from costars Catelynn Lowell<\/strong> and Tyler Baltierra<\/strong> that they were allegedly earning a higher wage.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tUPDATE: 1\/15\/26 at 5:50 p.m. EST \u2014 Teen Mom\u2019s Farrah Abraham is setting the record straight on her political ambitions. \u201cI\u2019m running for Austin City Council District 5 because our city has lost balance \u2014 we\u2019ve gone soft on crime, driven up prices and left working families like mine struggling to keep up. Enough is [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThen I had Catelynn and Tyler call me \u2026 this is when I was so depressed I was like, \u2018I need a boob job<\/a> to make me feel better.\u2019 So we\u2019re doing this scene on Teen Mo<\/em>m that\u2019s like, \u2018Oh I think I want to have a boob job.\u2019 They ask [about salaries],\u201d she alleged. \u201cThey say they\u2019re making $10,000 an episode and again I\u2019m only making $25,000 in total.\u201d<\/p>\n

Farrah confessed that she was \u201cso upset\u201d after learning about the alleged pay discrepancy. At the time, Farrah was a single mom while Catelynn and Tyler did not have any on-hand parenting responsibilities. (Derek died in a car crash in December 2008, while Catelynn and Tyler chose to give their baby, Carly, up for adoption.)<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I\u2019m like, \u2018OK for one, they don\u2019t have their kid. I do. I\u2019m doing this on my f***ing own.\u2019 Against all odds literally. Who\u2019s really supporting me? No one,\u201d she said. \u201cThen I make up [a story] and I say, \u2018Oh yeah I\u2019m actually making $15,000 an episode\u2019 because I was so hurt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Farrah admitted she made up the story out of \u201cspite.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing was fair and I don\u2019t know if it would ever be fair,\u201d she reflected.<\/p>\n

Farrah was a main cast member on Teen Mom<\/em>\u2019s first four seasons. She continued to appear on the series when it was rebranded to Teen Mom OG<\/em> for season 5 and until she was fired from the reality show<\/a> in 2017 after seven seasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery time that I\u2019m sitting with fans and supporting the show and I\u2019m watching season 4, season 5, season whatever, because I\u2019m stuck under this contract,\u201d she claimed. \u201cThat\u2019s really how I lost so much money. I just couldn\u2019t stand sitting there anymore sacrificing my child\u2019s life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahead of her firing, Farrah claimed that she asked for her daughter to be \u201cpaid more.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re not paying her dad. They\u2019re not paying anyone else. My parents were filming less \u2026 if you\u2019re filming less you\u2019re getting paid less,\u201d she alleged. \u201cAnd Sophia is always here, she\u2019s always filming, you guys need to pay her more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Farrah claimed her request was \u201crefused\u201d because \u201call the kids need to be paid the same.\u201d Meanwhile, Farrah believed it was unfair to her since she was \u201cnot in the same situation\u201d as her costars. So Farrah took matters into her own hands and sought out opportunities to make more money.<\/p>\n
