Earning World of Hyatt points directly with one of Chase’s two Hyatt cards is a great way to circumvent the 4:3 transfer ratio on the Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred.

For many Hyatt fans, though, carrying both cards may be the strongest strategy. Use the World of Hyatt card to build Hyatt points directly, while keeping the Sapphire Preferred for flexible Ultimate Rewards earning and access to Chase’s other transfer partners.

Remember: If you applied for the Sapphire Preferred before June 15, 2026 or apply for the Ink Business Preferred between now and the end of September, you have until Oct. 1 to make a decision about your World of Hyatt strategy. After that, all cardholders will receive that 4:3 transfer ratio.

To learn more, check out our full review of the World of Hyatt card and our full review of the World of Hyatt Business card.

Alternatively, to learn more about using the Chase Sapphire Reserve or Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business to maintain a 1:1 transfer ratio to Hyatt, check out our reviews for the Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business.

Apply here: World of Hyatt Credit Card
Apply here: World of Hyatt Business Credit Card

Source link

When Chase announced a refresh of the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (see rates and fees) earlier this year, it started plenty of chatter among points and miles enthusiasts.
