Sister Wives<\/em><\/a> star Janelle Brown<\/strong><\/a> surprised fans by revealing she has a new boyfriend after claiming she was not interested in dating following her divorce from Kody Brown<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cSome chapters are meant to unfold quietly before they\u2019re shared,\u201d Janelle, 57, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Tuesday, August 18, sharing a photo featuring her new man.<\/p>\n The TLC personality<\/a> explained, \u201cI wasn\u2019t looking. I certainly wasn\u2019t expecting you. And somehow, you turned out to be exactly what I didn\u2019t know I needed.\u201d<\/p>\n Janelle confirmed her budding romance has been \u201cpretty wonderful\u201d before officially introducing her boyfriend to the world.<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone please meet Pete,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n Christine Brown<\/strong><\/a> was quick to give her stamp of approval for Pete in the comments section, writing, \u201cHe\u2019s such an awesome guy!!\u201d<\/p>\n She revealed that Pete and Janelle are \u201cso cute together,\u201d telling fans that Janelle\u2019s partner is \u201ca construction worker \ud83d\udc77\ud83c\udffb\u200d\u2640\ufe0f like David!!\u201d (Christine, 54, married David Woolley<\/strong><\/a> in October 2023 following her own split from Kody, 57.)<\/p>\n As Sister Wives<\/em> fans know, Janelle and Christine were sister wives<\/a> after marrying Kody in 1993 and 1994, respectively, becoming his second and third wives. Kody was already married to Meri Brown<\/strong><\/a> when the other woman joined the family.<\/p>\n In 2010, Kody married fourth wife Robyn Brown<\/strong><\/a> in a spiritual ceremony. He legally divorced Meri four years later to legally wed Robyn, 47, and adopt her three children from a prior relationship.<\/p>\n Throughout their time as a plural family, Kody became the father of 18 children. He shares one child with Meri, 55, six with Janelle<\/a>, six with Christine and five with Robyn, including two biological children. (Janelle and Kody\u2019s son Garrison<\/strong><\/a> died in March 2024 at the age of 25.)<\/p>\n In November 2021, Christine shocked fans when she announced her split from Kody<\/a>, marking the beginning of the end of the Brown family unit.<\/p>\n Janelle announced in December 2022 that she and Kody had been separated<\/a> for months. Meri, meanwhile, confirmed her split from Kody in January 2023, while Robyn is still married to the patriarch<\/a>.<\/p>\n While both Christine and Meri dipped their toes back into the dating pool<\/a> following their divorces \u2014 Christine considered herself divorced the moment she announced the breakup, while Meri got a spiritual release after the former couple\u2019s separation \u2014 Janelle wasn\u2019t in a rush to find a new man.<\/p>\n \u201cFirst of all, I\u2019m not interested in dating at all. I\u2019m not even interested. I\u2019m not looking,\u201d Janelle said during a November 2023 episode<\/a> of Sister Wives<\/em>. \u201cI don\u2019t even look at guys or men. It\u2019s just blah. It\u2019s too much work. I don\u2019t want to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n She explained, \u201cI\u2019m not going to be hanging out where lots of single men are or whatever. Definitely, [I\u2019m] sure as hell not doing that online dating thing. I don\u2019t get the whole swiping thing. I don\u2019t get that.\u201d<\/p>\n Two years later, Christine revealed she was hoping Janelle would change her mind and try online dating since it\u2019s how she met her husband, David.<\/p>\n
