She has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2025\/01\/leah-messer-ali-wheelchair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">used a wheelchair<\/a> as a mobility aid.<\/p>\n<p>As she explained in January, she hopes that a service dog will e a help when she begins college.<\/p>\n<p>(Yes, in case you weren\u2019t feeling old enough already, the children of <em>Teen Mom<\/em> stars are old enough to apply for colleges.)<\/p>\n<p>The hitch was that Ali would need to raise $20,000. We worked hard and all together to put my fundraising together. We did many local fundraisers it was just more difficult to do public ones.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ali affirmed: \u201cMy entire community helped as well by supporting all my fundraisers. But it\u2019s amazing that she accomplished it!<\/p>\n<p>We should also note that, at least publicly, she\u2019s been very positive about the fundraising as a learning opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>And, to hear her tell it, Leah Messer is still helping \u2026 even if we don\u2019t know <em>how <\/em>or by how much.<\/p>\n<p>Heading off to college in a couple of years will be daunting.
