Noah Centineo<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about his journey with the live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe<\/strong><\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old actor was first cast to play He-Man<\/a> in the movie all the way back in 2019, but two years later, he was no longer attached<\/a> to the role. <\/p>\n

Then, in early 2022, it was announced<\/a> that Kyle Allen<\/strong><\/a> was cast in the film, but after that version of the movie was put in flux, his casting was in question. <\/p>\n

Nicholas Galitzine<\/strong><\/a> was later cast in the role<\/a> in May 2024 and went on to portray Prince Adam\/He-Man in the movie, which hit theaters earlier this year. For the role, Nicholas<\/strong> really bulked up<\/a>!<\/p>\n

During a new interview on the Happy Sad Confused<\/em> podcast<\/a> with Josh Horowitz<\/strong>, Noah<\/strong> explained why he exited the role after being initially cast and even praised Nicholas<\/strong>‘ performance.<\/p>\n

“We were pretty close, dude. I went through the test process. We screen-tested the loincloth and stuff, all of it,” Noah<\/strong> dished. “I signed the contract… We got pretty close, and then for some reason or another, it just [got] pushed and pushed, and then, I think, they just wanted to keep tweaking it and tweaking it.” <\/p>\n

The actor then shared that his exit from the project coincided with all of the delays, and his contract ran out.<\/p>\n

“We moved on, and then, I think, Netflix acquired it for a little bit, and then Amazon acquired it, and they found Nick<\/strong>, and god, dude, Nick<\/strong>. I mean, it’s so difficult,” Noah<\/strong> said, beginning to praise Nicholas Galitzine<\/strong>‘s performance. “It’s so difficult to step into a role like that. I mean, that’s not an easy movie to make at all.” <\/p>\n

“I watched it, and Nick <\/strong>is incredible,” he added. “How else do you do it? Like, people don’t understand how hard it is to do camp wholeheartedly. And you know, it’s like if the movie works, the movie doesn’t work often times<\/a>, especially in that situation. I don’t blame him for that. I loved what he was doing and what he was trying to do.” <\/p>\n
