Selma Blair has shared her pain over the death of Hayden Panettiere<\/p>\n
The Heroes actress died on Sunday (16.08.26) at the age of 36 and the sad news was confirmed in a statement from her father, Alan, while police in South Carolina have revealed an investigation is underway but there are no “signs of foul play”. <\/p>\n
Now Hayden’s pal Selma has shared her agony in a series of emotional messages posted on Instagram. The Cruel Intentions star added a comment on Hayden’s final Instagram post, which was uploaded on July 27, writing: “I love you. Don’t be gone. Don’t be gone. Please. Please.”<\/p>\n
She later added: “I love you whale tail my friend,” before writing: “I’m dying. Please be here.”<\/p>\n

Other stars also commented on the post including Sister, Sister actress Tia Mowry, who added a broken heart emoji, and talk show host Rosie O\u2019Donnell, who wrote: “Oh my god \u2013 heartbroken #hayden”.<\/p>\n
\nAfter news of Hayden’s death emerged, police in Greenville, South Carolina revealed an “acquaintance” of the actress placed a 911 call and emergency services raced to the scene where they attempted to help Hayden but they were unable to save her. <\/p>\n
\nA statement from the Greenville Police Department explained: “[Officers] accompanied by EMS personnel, responded to a report of an unresponsive female\u201d at around 1:50 p.m. Sunday. <\/p>\n
\n“Upon arrival, medical assistance was administered; however, the individual, later identified as Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced deceased at the scene. <\/p>\n
\n“The case is under investigation by the Greenville Police Department in conjunction with the Greenville County Coroner\u2019s Office. The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. An acquaintance of Ms. Panettiere placed the 911 call.” <\/p>\n
\nHayden’s representative Kasey Kitchen also confirmed officials are looking into what happened and more details will be revealed in due course. <\/p>\n
\nKitchen told NBC News: “There\u2019s an investigation ongoing. We should know more tomorrow.” <\/p>\n
\nHayden’s passing was confirmed by her father Alan who hailed the actress as an “incredible light and a force of nature. <\/p>\n
\nAlan said in his statement: “It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. <\/p>\n
\n“She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her – and to the millions who watched her onscreen.” <\/p>\n
\nHer father asked for privacy “as our family takes time to process this unimaginable loss.”<\/p>\n
