Despite Kelly Clarkson<\/b><\/a>\u2019s starring turn in From Justin to Kelly<\/i><\/a>, her children won\u2019t be able to watch their mom\u2019s silver screen debut.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, it\u2019s an Oscar-worthy number, and it\u2019s called From Justin to Kelly<\/i>,\u201d Clarkson, 44, quipped during her final Las Vegas concert<\/span><\/a> on Saturday, August 15, after noticing a fan\u2019s Etsy-made shirt inspired by the flick. \u201cTwo words: Contractually obligated.\u201d<\/p>\n As Clarkson said \u201cobligated,\u201d she held up her middle finger in front of the crowd.<\/p>\n Fresh off her American Idol <\/i>season 1 victory, Clarkson and runner-up Justin Guarini <\/b>costarred in the 2003 musical comedy<\/a> about two college students who meet on spring break.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s hard, you know?\u201d she added on Saturday, before a concertgoer chimed in to praise the film. \u201cIt\u2019s not, you\u2019re watching it with loving eyes. It\u2019s s***.\u201d<\/p>\n Clarkson further recalled how she ended up in tears<\/a> the first time she watched From Justin to Kelly <\/i>on screen.<\/p>\n \u201cMan, read the f***ing fine print, you know,\u201d the pop star joked. \u201cI didn\u2019t know that if you won, you had to do a movie. Not all of us want to be Meryl Streep<\/b>, we just like watching her, OK? I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t want to be in a movie,\u2019 but they were like, \u2018Yeah, but you won.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018And I feel like I\u2019m losing? It doesn\u2019t feel quite like a win.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Clarkson explained why it was \u201cso hard\u201d to film the musical flick in the midst of her valid hesitations.<\/p>\n \u201cI respect actors so much because that\u2019s what they do, even after [hosting] a talk show,\u201d she said, referring to her now-wrapped The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/i>. \u201cIt\u2019s insane, like, how much rejection they get. They keep going, and it\u2019s just insane. It\u2019s such a cool thing I love, it was not what I wanted to do.\u201d<\/p>\n While Clarkson noted that she enjoyed the From Justin to Kelly <\/i>dance scenes, she has no intention of allowing daughter River Rose, 12, and son Remington, 10, to watch the footage.
