Cristiano Ronaldo<\/strong><\/a> and Georgina Rodriguez<\/strong><\/a> just tied the knot, and we’re getting tons of new details about the nuptials.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old soccer superstar and the 32-year-old model and entrepreneur got married on August 11 in an intimate ceremony at home in Portugal, and they revealed lots of details about the big day in a special feature for Vogue<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Numerology played a big role in their life<\/h3>\n

Cristiano<\/strong>‘s lucky number is 7. They bought their new summer home in Cascais, Portugal on the seventh month (July) of the year, which took seven years to build.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s perfect. All number sevens are signs,” Georgina<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n

The wedding took place on the anniversary of the day they met <\/h3>\n

Cristiano<\/strong> and Georgina<\/strong> met in a Gucci <\/em>store on August 11, 2016. Their wedding took place exactly 10 years later.<\/p>\n

They got married in their living room, despite lavish reports<\/h3>\n

\u201cIn the future we will have a big wedding, so we can celebrate with family and friends,\u201d she explained to Vogue<\/em> of the intimate ceremony, citing their \u201ccrazy year\u201d of \u201cwork commitments, competitions, kids.”<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was a little girl. I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I\u2019m saying: no. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home. Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate\u2014that\u2019s more unusual for us.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve chosen to do it in the living room of our house here, where we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives. In 30 years\u2019 time I want the children to think, Something wonderful happened at this table\u2014the wedding vows of our parents.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt probably won\u2019t be the same table. We might change the decor,” Cristiano <\/strong>joked.<\/p>\n

He also said it will be \u201ca normal day,” before correcting himself and saying: “it will be a special day, spent in a normal way.”<\/p>\n

The diamond details and wedding rings<\/h3>\n

Georgina<\/strong> has an oval-cut diamond engagement ring, and plans to add a Chopard Garden of Kalahari necklace “with a D-flawless 50-carat brilliant-cut diamond” as its centerpiece. <\/p>\n

Cristiano<\/strong> shared a close-up of their wedding bands on Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n

On the day they met<\/h3>\n

In August 2016, Cristiano <\/strong>went into the Gucci<\/em> store on the Calle Serrano in Madrid with his six-year-old son Cristiano Jr.<\/strong>, where 22-year-old Georgina was a sales assistant covering for a friend. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s destiny,” she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had my back to her and then I turned around and saw her. Our eyes met, and from that point on it was\u2026.\u201d Cristiano<\/strong> continued to explain.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a dream,\u201d Georgina<\/strong> added. <\/p>\n

\u201cYes, a dream,\u201d he said. “I know she\u2019s the love of my life, and I think I am…I think she thinks I\u2019m the love of her life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their childrens’ involvement<\/h3>\n

They welcomed twins Eva<\/strong> and Mateo<\/strong> a year later, and then Alana<\/strong>, and in 2022 they welcomed another set of twins, Bella<\/strong> and \u00c1ngel<\/strong>, but only Bella<\/strong> survived.<\/p>\n

In the wedding ceremony, the children’s role was described by Georgina<\/strong> as \u201cprotagonists, as they are in all our days.”<\/p>\n

The family’s outfits were designed by Gucci<\/em><\/h3>\n

\u201cIt felt incredibly special to dress Georgina<\/strong> and Cristiano <\/strong>for this moment, knowing their love story began in a Gucci<\/em> store in Madrid,\u201d artistic director, Demna<\/strong> said. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere is something so romantic about it\u2014a beautiful circle closing, almost like a modern fairy tale.\u201d <\/p>\n

Georgina<\/strong> added: \u201cHe\u2019s not going to dress us up. I didn\u2019t want us to go into a day that was so simple for us in costumes.\u201d <\/p>\n

Cristiano Ronaldo<\/strong> wore a custom Gucci<\/em> light beige cotton single-breasted notch lapel suit with silver Horsebit detail on the trousers waistband, a white jersey t-shirt and custom loafers with Horsebit detail. <\/p>\n

Georgina Rodriguez <\/strong>wore a custom Gucci <\/em>Primavera white silk faille suit, consisting of a single-breasted three-button jacket and a pencil skirt with a center-back slit, paired with a matching white silk crepe de chine shirt and white satin matching shoes with a silver metal Horsebit detail. <\/p>\n

Cristiano Ronaldo Junior<\/strong> and Mateo Ronaldo<\/strong> wore matching trousers and poplin white shirts. Eva Maria<\/strong>, Alana Martina<\/strong>, and Bella Esmeralda Ronaldo <\/strong>wore Gucci <\/em>white cotton dresses and Gucci<\/em> ballet flats.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI tend to avoid places where there are crowds,\u201d Cristiano<\/strong> said of the private moment.<\/p>\n

They are not taking a honeymoon<\/h3>\n

Cristiano<\/strong> plays in Saudi Arabia for Al-Nassr, and starts the season on August 15. <\/p>\n

\u201cEvery day is a honeymoon,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Cristiano reflected on “probably” his last year of football<\/h3>\n

\u201cThis is probably my last year of football, and I want to leave a spectacular legacy. I have my future all mapped out. I have so many things to keep me busy that to tell you just one thing is hard. Because football could leave a big hole, you have to fill your time in various ways, not just one. And also have more fun, travel more, watch and play padel, which I really like, and continue to enjoy what I\u2019ve earned\u2014what we\u2019ve earned. Because after all it\u2019s been 25 years with a lot of sacrifice.\u201d<\/p>\n

They’re not ruling out more kids<\/h3>\n

\u201cI never say never,\u201d Cristiano<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother baby now would be overbooking [she uses the English word] at home. But when the youngest are 15 or 16 we\u2019ll still be young, so why not? It\u2019s true that I can\u2019t imagine myself without small children, so we\u2019ll see,” Georgina<\/strong> added.<\/p>\n

Georgina shares her first reaction after the wedding<\/h3>\n

\u201cIt was exactly as I\u2019d imagined it. Intimate, full of love, and with our family in the most important starring role. I couldn\u2019t hold back the tears.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that during their trip afterward to the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows, she \u201cfelt a peace and an energy that are very hard to describe. I needed nothing more: my husband, my children, our home, our faith, and our love.\u201d <\/p>\n
