On July 12, 1991, Kathryn Bigelow<\/strong>\u2019s surfer bro classic Point Break<\/em> was released in theaters worldwide. The film did reasonably well in its initial release, but it\u2019s since gained a bigger following in the years since its release \u2014 and especially after one of its leading stars, Patrick Swayze<\/strong>, died in 2009<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves<\/strong><\/a>) is a rookie FBI agent with something to prove. That\u2019s why he eagerly accepts a dangerous mission: to find and infiltrate a dangerous bank robber gang in Los Angeles. After some investigating, he thinks he\u2019s found them when he meets Bodhi (Patrick Swayze<\/strong><\/a>), a Zen-like surfer who wants to steal enough cash to fund his worldwide surfing trips.<\/p>\n

Johnny is willing to do anything to bring Bodhi to justice, but the longer he\u2019s near him, the more he likes him \u2014 and is drawn to the surfer bohemian lifestyle Bodhi swears by. As the robberies get more violent, Johnny has to make a choice: arrest Bodhi, or let him go and throw away everything he\u2019s worked for.<\/p>\n
