ABC has shared the first teaser for the second season of the Scrubs<\/strong><\/a><\/em> revival, or the eleventh season of the show overall. <\/p>\n

The teaser was showed during the “Scrubs<\/em>: Scrubbing Back In” panel at D23 on Saturday (August 15) and the biggest reveal showed off the return of Scott Foley<\/strong><\/a> as Sean Kelly, Elliot’s (Sarah Chalke<\/strong><\/a>) former boyfriend.<\/p>\n

Saturday Night Live<\/strong><\/a><\/em> alum John Higgins<\/strong><\/a> has also joined the cast in a significant recurring role.<\/p>\n

Scott Foley is returning to Scrubs<\/em><\/h3>\n

Scott <\/strong>moderated the panel with stars Zach Braff<\/strong><\/a>, Donald Faison<\/strong><\/a>, Sarah Chalke<\/strong>, and showrunner Aseem Batra<\/strong> before confirming his return. He will reportedly recur during the season, with Sean and Elliot expected to explore their relationship again.<\/p>\n

The Scrubs<\/em> revival revealed early on that J.D. and Elliot had separated and their breakup has been controversial among fans. <\/p>\n

But while Elliot is interested in Sean again, J.D. will pursue a relationship with Rachel Bilson<\/strong><\/a>‘s Charlie, setting up a new dynamic.<\/p>\n

\u201cScott Foley<\/strong>\u2019s back to be love interest for Sarah<\/strong>, and Rachel<\/strong> has been mine; the dynamic with us all together is just hilarious, and we\u2019re having so much fun,\u201d Zach<\/strong> told Deadline<\/a> during the D23 panel.<\/p>\n

The teaser also features appearances from returning favorites like Judy Reyes<\/strong><\/a>, John C. McGinley<\/strong><\/a>, Christa Miller<\/strong><\/a>, and more, along with a new look at Keyla Monterroso Meija<\/strong>, who is joining as Turk’s new surgical nurse, Mimi.<\/p>\n

John Higgins joins the cast of Scrubs <\/em>for season 11<\/h3>\n

John Higgins<\/strong> is a former SNL <\/em>writer and performer who is also known as a member of Please Don’t Destroy. He will have a major recurring role as Grant, Sacred Heart’s new Chief Resident.<\/p>\n

He is expected to become a thorn in J.D.’s side, similar to the way J.D. often irritated Dr. Cox, Deadline<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

Season 2 premieres with two episodes on Wednesday, September 30 at 8 p.m. ET\/PT on ABC. Episodes will stream the following day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. <\/p>\n
