Drea de Matteo joined OnlyFans as an act of defiance<\/p>\n
The 54-year-old actress signed up for the adults-only subscription service in order to generate money to save her home but admitted it was also an act of defiance because she was losing work as a result of her opposition to COVID-19 vaccine mandates.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Jamie Kennedy on his Hate to Break It to Ya podcast, she said: \u201cIn some ways, the OnlyFans page was almost like a political statement on my part in a way.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was like, \u2018F*** you. I don\u2019t need to work for your f****** corporation.’ “<\/p>\n

Despite finding success as Adriana La Cerva in The Sopranos, Drea insisted she had never been as financially secure as people assumed because she had never been career-driven and often only returned to work when she needed money.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI had enough to survive. I would always go back to work when I knew I needed to put aside a chunk of money for the mortgage.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI was not \u2014 people think I\u2019m made of f****** money. Everyone sees me coming, they\u2019re like, \u2018Here comes that rich b**** from The Sopranos.’<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd it\u2019s like, no, I\u2019m not at all. In fact, you know, I live a pretty f****** normal life. I had to do that [OnlyFans] page to get a lien off my house after foreclosure.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDrea took a mortgage break during the pandemic but later began receiving foreclosure notices and while she resolved that, she was left with a $75,000 lien on the property, so turned to OnlyFans.<\/p>\n
\nShe noted: \u201cI put a picture up, and, within 75 minutes, the lien was paid. So, that was why I kept the OnlyFans.”<\/p>\n
\nAsked what type of picture, she added: \u201cA picture of me in a bikini…<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI needed more money than that, but that was just for the lien”<\/p>\n
\nWhile the Sons of Anarchy actress admitted she “sometimes” made hundreds of thousands of dollars from OnlyFans, finances wasn’t her only motivation in joining.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cHonestly, we were going to use the Only Fans platform to start a podcast because I was afraid that I\u2019d be censored too much to talk about stuff, you know, just out there in the world.”<\/p>\n
\nDrea is convinced the majority of her subscribers signed up because of her role in The Sopranos.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cThe OnlyFans thing, I always say, it\u2019s Adriana\u2019s fan page because people love her.<\/p>\n
\n“I mean, I\u2019ve done a lot of other TV shows, but that\u2019s the TV show people really love. So, you want to see more Adriana, go there, and that\u2019s where I am.\u201d<\/p>\n
