The Oscar-winning actress shared pictures from her birthday getaway in Fiji with her 56-year-old musician partner, posing in a sheer lace-trimmed robe while enjoying chocolate-covered strawberries and drinks. <\/p>\n
Halle, who turned 60 on Friday (14.08.26), has been documenting the tropical trip on Instagram after traveling to the island with Van and spending part of the vacation with her children.<\/p>\n
Alongside the photographs, Halle wrote: \u201cToday… I don\u2019t give a f***!\u201d<\/p>\n

The images showed Halle relaxing in the sunshine and sharing an affectionate moment with Van, with her engagement ring also visible. <\/p>\n
\nShe later posted another message thanking followers for their birthday wishes and expressing her gratitude at reaching the milestone.<\/p>\n
\nThe birthday celebrations follow Halle\u2019s confirmation earlier this year she and Van are engaged after previously giving conflicting signals about whether she had accepted his proposal.<\/p>\n
\nAppearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in February, Halle addressed reports she had rejected Van\u2019s proposal.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cWell, there\u2019s some confusion that he asked to marry me, and I said no. No, that\u2019s not the case. I did not say no. We just don\u2019t have a date.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHalle added: \u201cBut of course I said I would marry him! He did put a little ring on it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe actress and Van have been together since 2020, having developed their relationship through conversations during the Covid-19 pandemic before meeting in person. <\/p>\n
\nVan proposed in 2025, although the couple have said they are in no rush to arrange their wedding.<\/p>\n
\nHalle previously explained that neither of them believed marriage was required to validate their relationship.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI don\u2019t think we need to be married to have a meaningful relationship. I don\u2019t know if we will ever get married.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHalle added: \u201cWell, I\u2019ve been married three times. Van has been married once, and so no, we don\u2019t feel like we have to get married to validate our love in any way.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe don\u2019t, I think we will get married just because, out of the people I\u2019ve been married to, this is the person I should have married.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe milestone birthday comes during another busy period in Halle\u2019s film career. <\/p>\n
\nShe recently starred alongside Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo in Crime 101, the Los Angeles-set crime thriller written and directed by Bart Layton and adapted from the novella by Don Winslow.<\/p>\n
\nHalle plays insurance broker Sharon Combs, whose life becomes entangled with a jewel thief played by Chris as he prepares for a major heist. <\/p>\n
\nThe film was released theatrically in February before arriving on Prime Video in April.<\/p>\n
\nThe role added to a career that has included X-Men, Die Another Day, Swordfish and Catwoman. <\/p>\n
\nHalle remains particularly associated with Monster\u2019s Ball, for which she won the Academy Award for best actress, becoming the first Black woman to win the category.<\/p>\n
\nHer performance as Jinx opposite Pierce Brosnan in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day also produced one of her most recognisable screen roles, while she played mutant superhero Storm across four X-Men films.<\/p>\n
\nHalle\u2019s 60th birthday celebrations have unfolded across several social media posts from Fiji. <\/p>\n
\nEarlier in the trip she shared photographs wearing a black swimsuit and sheer beachwear, while another set of images showed her in a plunging black dress as she approached the milestone.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress has also spoken recently about ageing and her approach to health as she entered her 60s, while continuing to work on upcoming projects including the Paris-set film Fleur and thriller Red Card.<\/p>\n
\nHalle shares daughter Nahla, 18, with former partner Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo-Robert, 12, with former husband Olivier Martinez. <\/p>\n
\nBoth children joined her for part of her birthday celebrations in Fiji before the trip continued with Van.<\/p>\n
