Can you tell when some of your favorite TV stars are lying? Peacock\u2019s newest reality competition, The Traitors<\/strong>, pits a cast made up of 20 reality television personalities<\/a> and \u201cregular people\u201d against each other for a chance to win up to $250,000.<\/p>\n Among them are several unknown \u201ctraitors,\u201d revealed in secret by host Alan Cumming<\/strong><\/a>, in a game based off a Dutch series of the same name. Us Weekly<\/em> \u2018spoke to some of the cast and asked them (spoiler-free, of course!) if they were hoping to be faithfuls or traitors before going into the Scottish castle where they filmed.<\/p>\n Could they lie? Could they manipulate and deceive? Or were they hoping to skate by and hunt down the traitors? The \u201ctraitors\u201d are tasked with devising a plan to steal the prize from the rest of the group \u2013 coined \u201cthe faithfuls.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI wouldn\u2019t say I\u2019m the best liar,\u201d Below Deck<\/em>\u2019s Kate Chastain<\/strong> exclusively told Us<\/em>, with former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr.<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0also saying, \u201cFor me, personally, I wanted to be a faithful because I figured it would be easier to get through the game without lying. I\u2019m not a good liar.\u201d<\/p>\n A few of them were torn. Summer House<\/em> star Kyle Cooke<\/strong><\/a> said, \u201c[My wife] Amanda told me I\u2019m the world\u2019s worst liar, but in a weird way, when [Cumming] was making the rounds, I was like, why not?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t care either way,\u201d Big Brother<\/em> season 13 winner Rachel Reilly<\/strong> said. \u201cTo be honest, I just wanted to win this.\u201d Survivor<\/em>\u2019s Cirie Fields<\/strong> had a similar sentiment, telling Us<\/em>, \u201cI\u2019m open for an adventure. I was just happy to be there.\u201d<\/p>\n As for Big Brother<\/em> season 22 winner Cody Calafiore<\/strong>, he says, \u201cI wanted to be a traitor so badly.\u201d<\/p>\n Other familiar faces include Survivor<\/em> player Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick<\/strong>, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills\u2019<\/em> Brandi Glanville<\/strong><\/a>, Shahs of Sunset<\/em> star Reza Farahan<\/strong> and Olympian Ryan Lochte<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the \u201cregular\u201d contestants include a van life influencer, political analyst, yoga instructor, ER nurse, actress and more.
