Marshals<\/em><\/a> will look a bit different when it returns for season 2 after some cast shakeups.<\/p>\n

Deadline confirmed that the Yellowstone<\/em> spinoff<\/a>, which is currently back in production in Utah, will feature more seasons with Cal\u2019s (Logan Marshall-Green<\/strong>) estranged daughter, Maddie (Morgan Lindholm<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Lindholm\u2019s expanded role comes after Maddie was introduced in season 1<\/a> as a bartender with a surprising connection to Cal. She later started dating Miles (Tatanka Means<\/strong>), which will also continue to be explored.<\/p>\n

The show also cast Marque Richardson<\/strong> in a recurring role as Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Burns. Ahead of the cast evolving, CBS released a first look at season 2 in which Kayce (Luke Grimes<\/strong>), Miles, Andrea (Ash Santos<\/strong>) and Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham<\/strong>) were featured \u2014 but Cal and Belle (Arielle Kebbel<\/strong>) were noticeably missing.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tYellowstone\u2018s Marshals is returning for season 2 \u2014 but is everyone from the cast coming back? The Paramount Network show, which premiered in 2018, introduced viewers to the fictional Dutton family. Yellowstone came to an end in 2024, expanding its universe with Luke Grimes\u2018 CBS show Marshals and Dutton Ranch, which premiered in May. According [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During the season 1 finale, which aired in May, Andrea was offered a job that would take her from Montana to Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, Belle and Cal were on a mission when they got ambushed \u2014 with Tom Weaver (Chris Mulkey) involved in the potentially deadly situation.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t clear whether Belle and Cal were killed off screen despite the show<\/a> being renewed for season 2. Marshall-Green, 49, and Kebbel, however, hinted to The Hollywood Reporter that they have begun filming season 2.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can confirm [Cal] is alive, but not necessarily unscathed,\u201d Marshall-Green told the outlet. \u201cI think I can confirm that for everybody in the damn show, because everybody\u2019s going through it by the end of this thing. I\u2019m hours away of shooting [season 2, episode 1]. I can tell you that we\u2019re all going through things \u2014 without giving anything away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kebbel also weighed in, saying, \u201cI am a part of season 2, yes. We start filming [season 2] with a pick up of that [finale] moment. My head is so deep into season 2 already.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress recalled her initial reaction<\/a> to the finale script.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter reading that big cliffhanger, I should have asked myself if Belle survives! But the truth is that I\u2019m so used to Belle being in precarious situations almost every episode,\u201d she noted. \u201cAnd even though both Belle and Cal are there, it felt in that moment that, because Cal is in front, he\u2019s the one in more in danger. I\u2019m behind him, based on where we ended the episode. So when I read it, my head went to, \u2018What\u2019s going to happen to Cal?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Marshall-Green made it clear he has no plans to leave the show, adding, \u201cI love employment! I love steady income, and I love more than anything this crew and this cast. I could easily see myself making this show for many years.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cNow \u2014 where is the story juiciest, now that we\u2019re dealing with a subject matter like cancer? I don\u2019t wanna sugarcoat it. I don\u2019t want kid gloves on. I don\u2019t want a safe approach. I want Cal to go through it, because I think that is the duty to these men and women who come back from uniform.\u201d<\/p>\n
