{"id":257536,"date":"2026-08-14T15:00:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T15:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2026\/08\/14\/jonas-brothers-would-have-no-shot-of-landing-camp-rock-roles-now\/"},"modified":"2026-08-14T15:00:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T15:00:12","slug":"jonas-brothers-would-have-no-shot-of-landing-camp-rock-roles-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2026\/08\/14\/jonas-brothers-would-have-no-shot-of-landing-camp-rock-roles-now\/","title":{"rendered":"Jonas Brothers would have &#8216;no shot&#8217; of landing Camp Rock roles now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"byline\">\n<p>        <time itemprop=\"datePublished\" content=\"2026-08-14\" datetime=\"1786719612\" pubdate=\"\">14 August 2026<\/time>\n    <\/p>\n<p>The Jonas Brothers say they would have \u201cno shot\u201d of landing a role in Camp Rock if they had to audition nowadays. <\/p>\n<p>                            <\/p>\n<p class=\"image-caption landscape\">Jonas Brothers would have &#8216;no shot&#8217; of landing Camp Rock roles nowadays<\/p>\n<p>Kevin, Joe and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/nick-jonas\/\" class=\"exposure-link \" data-linktrack=\"LinkTracker,articleExposure,nick-jonas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nick Jonas<\/a> reprise their roles as boyband Connect 3 in Camp Rock 3 &#8211; the latest instalment of the Disney Channel movie franchise &#8211; but told Entertainment Weekly that they\u2019d have had no chance competing against the talented individuals moving up the ranks. <\/p>\n<p>Nick explained: \u201cPeople kind of associate us with a boy band, though we will be the first to tell you we\u2019ve never been good dancers and never will be. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo if we had to audition the way the talent who are in these DCOMs (Disney Channel original movies) now do, then we\u2019d have no shot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>                      \t\t\t<!-- Dailymotion player (contact: Kutay.vardar@dailymotion.com) --><\/p>\n<p>Kevin agreed, adding that \u201call these kids [are] hypertalented and very, very capable\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>\nMeanwhile, Joe admitted he and his brothers had no idea they\u2019d get the reaction they did when they announced they were returning for Camp Rock 3. <\/p>\n<p>\nHe mused: \u201cI knew that the OG fans that grew up with\u00a0Camp Rock\u00a0would be thrilled, but it\u2019s this whole new generation of young people that have discovered\u00a0Camp Rock\u00a0through Disney+ and even TikTok.\u2028\u201cWe, as a team, wanted to make sure that we had moments where we nodded to some of what people love so much about that original film \u2014 the iconic dances, the comedy that we didn\u2019t think was funny at the time but became meme-worthy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nCamp Rock 3 director Veronica Rodriguez also acknowledged the \u201cskinny tightrope\u201d they had to walk to please old school Camp Rock fans and the newer generation. <\/p>\n<p>\nShe said: \u201cYou have to please both simultaneously \u2014 our nostalgia viewers and our new Camp Rockers. We only succeed if we are making both have a good time.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cI even acknowledged [in the pitch] that there is a very skinny tightrope to walk because there are decades in between.
