Calling the breakup a \u201chorrible experience,\u201d Segura admitted that the situation has been an emotional roller coaster.<\/p>\n
\u201cYour emotions change many times a day,\u201d the 47-year-old explained. \u201cYou don\u2019t feel the same all the time. It\u2019s really tough on you.\u201d<\/p>\n
Segura also addressed his absence from last week\u2019s episode, during which Pazsitzky tearfully discussed their divorce.<\/p>\n
Apparently, some listeners were less than thrilled that Segura wasn\u2019t there for the conversation.<\/p>\n
\nThe comic said he had been \u201cbothered\u201d by criticism over his absence, explaining that he and Pazsitzky had already been recording episodes separately for quite some time.<\/p>\n
Since her episode came first, he said, she simply addressed the situation before he did.<\/p>\n
The couple\u2019s split first became public last month after 18 years of marriage.<\/p>\n
Pazsitzky, 50, subsequently confirmed the news herself, telling listeners that she and Segura had spent years trying to save their relationship for the sake of their family.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe gave it all we could, but we just couldn\u2019t work things out,\u201d she said during the August 5 episode of the podcast.<\/p>\n
\nDespite the heartbreak, both comedians have emphasized that there\u2019s no war between them. And Segura echoed that sentiment on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not combative,\u201d he said, describing the divorce as \u201cterrible\u201d and \u201cdisappointing.\u201d He added that the two still speak every day and continue to support one another.<\/p>\n
\u201cI support Christina in everything she does, and she supports me,\u201d Segura said.<\/p>\n
The former couple shares two sons, Ellis, 10, and Julian, 8, and they have made it clear that co-parenting remains their priority.<\/p>\n
Pazsitzky previously explained that the family has even vacationed together since the separation, demonstrating that their relationship remains surprisingly amicable despite the end of their marriage.<\/p>\n
The pair also intends to continue working together professionally when possible.<\/p>\n
But if fans are hoping Segura will provide a play-by-play of what went wrong, they shouldn\u2019t hold their breath.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is it for me,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m not gonna talk about this [more].\u201d<\/p>\n
