Studio Tour Hollywood)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-i-was-diagnosed-with-stage-4-breast-cancer\">\u2018I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>On Tuesday, August 11, Davis took to her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/Db56lZKNliF\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instagram<\/a> page to share a video, possibly from the cancer ward of a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRing this bell three times well. It\u2019s a toll to clearly say, \u2018My treatments are done, the course has run and I am on my way,&#8217;\u201d she reads as she rings a bell.<\/p>\n<p>Her lengthy caption kept a similarly upbeat tone, even while conveying very somber news.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHi friends :),\u201d she began. \u201cI wanted to share something with you all that I\u2019ve kept to myself for a while but for various reasons would like to share now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Davis revealed: \u201cA year and a half ago I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, which has metastasized to my bones. Specifically to my spine, right hip, and my ribs.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/Db56lZKNliF\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>\u201cThe cancer is incurable, and too late for chemo,\u201d Davis shared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe initial lump that I felt, wasn\u2019t a \u2018lump\u2019 as such; rather a kind of hard spot. Really tiny,\u201d she detailed. \u201cI almost didn\u2019t bother getting it checked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Davis advised: \u201cSo I guess I\u2019m saying don\u2019t ignore anything \u2013 get everything checked out :).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She updated: \u201cAs of now, I\u2019m trying to live out whatever might be left of my life in as fun a way as I possibly can.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Upon reflection, Davis wrote: \u201cI always like to find the teachable moments in anything negative that happens. Notably, many wheelchair users do <em>not<\/em> feel the same way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe thing that has been most vital to me is humour,\u201d Davis affirmed. \u201cI asked my friends and family to make fun of me as much as possible (which they\u2019re really good at), and most importantly of all to not treat me like a sick person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She observed: \u201cThere\u2019s nothing that will make you feel more unwell than being treated as if you\u2019re unwell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Davis expressed: \u201cI\u2019m not scared of whatever comes next. I\u2019m at peace with it. It\u2019s so important to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She shared: \u201cAnd I still would like to keep working. I\u2019m perfectly able to do so, and acting is one of the biggest joys in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That is a not-so-subtle hint that she\u2019d love to have some final roles on television and film.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor those of you on a similar journey to mine, I do wish you well,\u201d Davis expressed. <\/p>\n<p>She concluded: \u201cCancer asks a lot from us, physically and mentally. And we all get to do it however we choose.
