Ricky Gervais<\/a> has sent love to his The Office co-star Lucy Davis after her revelation that she has \u201cincurable\u201d breast cancer. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n

The 53-year-old actress – who is best known for playing Dawn Tinsley in the original UK version of The Office – told fans in a post on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, which has metastasised into her bones, around 18 months ago and she is determined to “live out whatever might be left” of her life in the most “fun” way she possibly can after being told it was “too late” to be treated with chemotherapy. <\/p>\n
She added in her social media post: \u201cThe initial lump that I felt, wasn\u2019t a \u2018lump\u2019 as such; rather a kind of hard spot. Really tiny. I almost didn\u2019t bother getting it checked. So I guess I\u2019m saying don\u2019t ignore anything – get everything checked out.) <\/p>\n
\u201cAs of now, I\u2019m trying to live out whatever might be left of my life in as fun a way as I possibly can. I always like to find the teachable moments in anything negative that happens. And cancer has not disappointed in that regard; there\u2019s a lot I have learned from it, and I\u2019m grateful for that.” <\/p>\n

Following her post, Lucy was flooded with messages of support from her famous friends, including comedian and actor Ricky. <\/p>\n
\nHe kept things simple as he responded to Lucy\u2019s post by putting a singular red heart emoji underneath. <\/p>\n
\nLucy then responded by writing \u201cxxxx\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nJenna Fischer, who starred in the U.S. spinoff of The Office, added: \u201cBeautiful post. Love you lots. And yes to working with cancer! Let\u2019s spread that message far and wide! How working is such a comfort!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nActress Sarah Paulson wrote: \u201cSending you love love love. You are and always have been full of magic.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWhile Lucy\u2019s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina co-star Kiernan Shipka commented: \u201cI love you so much Lucy.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnd the original Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart wrote: \u201cYour outlook is inspiring and I’m sending you love, prayers and big hugs! And a little magic for a miracle!\u201d<\/p>\n
