Reba McEntire<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about upcoming nuptials with Rex Linn<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n

The 71-year-old singer and actress and the 69-year-old actor, who co-star in the sitcom Happy’s Place<\/em>, got engaged on Christmas Eve<\/a> in 2024, but have yet to set a date for their wedding. <\/p>\n

In a new interview, Reba<\/strong> revealed why the couple has put off getting married. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe’re just waiting until we have an open spot to have the wedding,\u201d she told E! News<\/a><\/em>. \u201cGet it planned. Print those invitations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in February, Reba<\/strong> also dished that their busy schedules have pushed back a ceremony. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe’re still waiting on a third season pickup from\u00a0Happy\u2019s Place<\/em>,\u201d\u00a0she said. \u201cAnd Rex got picked up on\u00a0Stick<\/em>\u00a0with\u00a0Owen Wilson<\/strong>, so that pushed the wedding back.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

While speaking with E!<\/em>, Reba<\/strong> says that their happiness boils down to them liking each other. <\/p>\n

“We love each other,\u201d she said. \u201cbut we\u00a0like<\/em>\u00a0each other. We have fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Plus, they have a lot in common! <\/p>\n

“We love the same things,\u201d Reba<\/strong> says. \u201cWe love the country way of life, the western way of life. We love movies. We love television.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cThe only thing we’re opposite of, he loves thriller horror movies. I’m more like, \u2018Happy. Everything’s so sweet.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
