HGTV<\/strong><\/a> has announced the upcoming premiere date and additional details for the Ugliest House in America<\/em> spinoff series.<\/p>\n

Comedian Retta<\/strong><\/a> will “continue her search for the country’s most spine-tingling properties,” with the winner receiving a $150,000 renovation by HGTV designer Alison Victoria<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

What will happen in season 3 of the show?<\/h3>\n

This season will\u00a0now feature six one-hour episodes, up from the half-hour format in previous seasons.\u00a0Attracting over 10.9 million viewers across linear and streaming to her sophomore run, the actress, comedian and home design enthusiast will brave 20 tours of petrifyingly paranormal or horrifically hideous houses whose owners say are haunted by scary stories and hair-raising sights. From the East to the Ozarks and New England to the Midwest, Retta will discover harrowing places like a centuries-old frightening farmhouse, an eerie former nursing home and a rotting 1800s jailer’s house that abound with supernatural sites, ghostly apparitions and unearthly whispers. In each episode, Retta<\/strong> will share hilariously unfiltered views about each home\u2019s scary appearance, un-livability and fright factor. HGTV will ultimately deem one house the “scariest” of them all and award the homeowners a showstopping renovation by popular network designer\u00a0Alison Victoria<\/strong>\u00a0in the season finale.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Retta<\/strong> will travel to Florida, Ohio and West Virginia to find the spookiest spots, with her first stop at a foreboding concrete monstrosity riddled with creepy shadows and rattling doorknobs. Additional haunts will include a gingerbread-style cottage home to friendly ghosts, an unsettling 1920s observatory and a Victorian hotspot for paranormal activity.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
