Amy Poehler<\/a> on her Good Hang podcast, she said: \u201cI was so nervous.<\/p>\n\u201cThe kissing wasn\u2019t hard, but the laying in bed and the wanting us to act like we had just done it. I was like, \u2018Uhh.\u2019 But I\u2019m a little immature when it comes to that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amy replied: \u201cI don\u2019t even think that\u2019s immature. I\u2019ve talked to a lot of my friends who have to do intimate scenes, and it\u2019s a skill.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nRosie agreed: It\u2019s a skill. It really is.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nCynthia had called her friend to offer her the role and Rosie accepted instantly, without realising what it would involve.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cFirst of all, I love her. Like, I love her. I have so much respect for her.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cShe called me, and she\u2019s like, \u2018Ro, Michael Patrick [King] wrote you a scene, and it\u2019s with me. Will you do it?\u2019 I said, \u2018Of course I\u2019ll do it with you.’ <\/p>\n
\n\u201cThen, I read it, and I\u2019m in bed with just the sheets. I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh my God.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe A League of Their Own star explained she had only previously filmed one other sex scene, when she had a guest role in Nip\/Tuck opposite the late Julian McMahon.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cSo I was nervous with Cynthia. And then Michael said, \u2018You guys can be a little bit more.\u2019 And I\u2019m thinking, \u2018I can\u2019t really.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\nRosie admitted she has huge admiration for 60-year-old Cynthia because of the way she isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cShe is the real deal. Period. End of subject.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cShe\u2019s one of the best actresses that we have. She stands up for injustice wherever she sees it. She puts her money where her mouth is. She loves her children and her wife. I admire her greatly.\u201d<\/p>\n
