Hugh Dancy<\/strong><\/a> and Claire Danes<\/strong><\/a> have been together for 20 years and he’s opening up about the strength of their relationship.<\/p>\n

The couple met in 2006 and got married in 2009. They are parents to three children – son Cyrus<\/strong>, 13, son Rowan<\/strong>, almost 8, and daughter Shay<\/strong>, 3. <\/p>\n

While promoting the upcoming season of Law & Order<\/em>, Hugh <\/strong>chatted with E! News<\/a> about his relationship with his wife. <\/p>\n

Hugh Dancy says he “picked right” with Claire Danes. <\/h3>\n

“I picked right,” Hugh<\/strong> told E! News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When asked what makes their marriage so strong, Hugh<\/strong> said, “I could give you a lot. It would just sound clich\u00e9, but I mean, it’s all true: care and consideration, all the rest of it. Time takes on different meanings as you pass the big milestones in 5, 10 years… We’re just doing our best.”<\/p>\n

Hugh<\/strong> says there is not just one secret to having a strong marriage.<\/p>\n

“I don’t think there’s a single secret that you can pass on to anybody else,” he said. “You never know what’s the truth of somebody else’s relationship.”<\/p>\n

Claire Danes made some comments earlier this year too!<\/h3>\n

While appearing on Amy Poehler<\/strong><\/a>‘s Good Hang<\/em> podcast in January, Claire <\/strong>was asked about Hugh<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

“Hugh and I are very lucky,” she said. “We’re well-matched humans. I think our parenting styles are pretty level and equal as well.”<\/p>\n

“He’s a swell dude,” she added. <\/p>\n

Claire<\/strong> recently opened up about learning that she was pregnant at 43<\/a>.<\/p>\n
