Loving her new physique. <\/span>Keke Palmer<\/b><\/a> has opened up about confidence and embracing her post-baby body after welcoming her son.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In an interview with <\/span>The Cut<\/span><\/i><\/a> published on Monday, July 10, Keke, 29, got candid about how her self-image changed after she gave birth to her baby boy, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, in February. While she admitted to struggling with confidence before her son\u2019s arrival, her mindset has now completely shifted.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAfter having my baby, I\u2019ve just gotten so much more powerful. I\u2019m just so strengthened in a crazy way. Strutting my stuff, enjoying,\u201d Keke said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Keke went on to explain that she used to worry about her figure and whether she was properly taking care of it. She strived to be \u201cslim\u201d and \u201cfit in a particular way.\u201d However, her body \u201cgot so much bigger\u201d after giving birth to Leodis and she \u201cstarted getting fluff in areas\u201d she had never experienced before.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI was trying to work with my trainer, <\/span>Corey Calliet<\/b>, and he was just like, \u2018Well, we are never going to try and get your body back to how it was before a baby because you birthed a child.\u2019 It\u2019s like, that\u2019s not something to hide, that\u2019s something to embrace. We\u2019re going to lean into this new body,\u201d Keke added.<\/span><\/p>\n The interview comes after Keke\u2019s boyfriend and the father of her baby, <\/span>Darius Daulton Jackson<\/b><\/a>, made headlines on July 5 when he <\/span>shamed the former Nickelodeon star for the outfit<\/span><\/a> she wore to an Usher<\/strong> concert. She wore a sheer black dress with a black low-cut bodysuit underneath.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s the outfit tho \u2026 you a mom,\u201d <\/span>Darius tweeted<\/span><\/a> in response to a video of Keke dancing with Usher onstage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Darius\u2019s comment was met with outrage as fans stood up for Keke. She seemed unbothered, however, as she later posted more photos of the outfit on Instagram. <\/span>Keke even made a cheeky merch line<\/span><\/a> in response to the situation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
