And then I got back off the wagon,\u201d he confessed in the interview. \u201cIn a more restrained manner. I got overconfident a couple times, went, \u2018Yep, nope, not good for me.\u2019 Not in big quantities.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Db3iRbImyaz\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>Pitt explained he \u201ccan have a few\u201d glasses of wine, but he \u201ccan\u2019t have a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have to be professional about it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Pitt first spoke publicly about his sobriety in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/09\/04\/movies\/brad-pitt-ad-astra.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2019 New York Times interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privilege,\u201d\u00a0he said at the time.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, Pitt publicly thanked Bradley Cooper for helping him quit drinking, and he spoke about his sobriety journey on Dax Shepard\u2019s \u201cArmchair Expert\u201d podcast just last summer.<\/p>\n<p>So the news that Pitt is drinking again came as a surprise to many. And his comments have led to widespread debate about exactly when he tumbled off the wagon.<\/p>\n<p>It was widely assumed that he got sober amid his divorce, but Brad says he was only clean for seven years. So does that mean he\u2019s been back on the sauce since 2023?<\/p>\n<p>We may never know for sure.
