Jared Padalecki reveals reason why he showed compassion to Perez Hilton before deleting post<\/p>\n
The 48-year-old gossip blogger was in a “serious but stable” condition in hospital last weekend after appearing to self-harm in a disturbing TikTok livestream.<\/p>\n
Following the incident, the Supernatural star, 44 – who has been open about his own mental health struggles in the past – reached out to Hilton with a compassionate message. <\/p>\n
However, he has since deleted the post after some fans pointed out Hilton hasn’t always “been kind” about Padalecki over the years. <\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
The actor then wrote on X: “I didn\u2019t know. It\u2019s been brought to my attention. I\u2019m sorry”<\/p>\n
\nPadalecki explained his decision further, admitting he had “absolutely no idea” about Hilton’s “past”. <\/p>\n
\nHe posted: “To give more detail re: my post wishing someone well\u2026<\/p>\n
\nI had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA about his past. <\/p>\n
\nI had heard of him. Obviously. <\/p>\n
\nI had heard that he hadn\u2019t exactly \u201cbeen kind\u201d to me in the past. <\/p>\n
\nSo, my thought is always to give grace and forgiveness to those who may have tried to \u201charm\u201d you\u2026 in my experience, it usually works out better than holding a grudge or wishing punishment on someone else. <\/p>\n
\nThat having been said, I TRULY didn\u2019t know ANYTHING about the extent to what he has done. <\/p>\n
\nThat\u2019s my bad. <\/p>\n
\nOn my life, I have never in my life, not once, looked him up or gone to one of his sites. <\/p>\n
\nI simply thought he was a \u201ctabloid\u201d type of sensationalist journalist. <\/p>\n
\nI DO NOT stand for, or support, ANY of the actions I just now found out that he has committed. <\/p>\n
\nFull stop. <\/p>\n
\nI\u2019m sorry if my words caused any harm.<\/p>\n
\nAnd, I hope you ALL are well out there, and taking care of yourselves. (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nBefore deleting his post, Padalecki had initially written on X: “Hey @PerezHilton. Just wanted to reach out and let you know that you\u2019re in my thoughts. This \u2018being human\u2019 is a strange thing. Exhilarating. Exhausting. Fast. Slow. Wonderful…. And… at times… awful. I hope you are trying as best as you can to be kind to yourself right now.<\/p>\n
\n“Please surround yourself with the love and support that all humans deserve. This too shall pass. You got this.”<\/p>\n
\nLast weekend, Perez’s loved ones confirmed he will “require surgery” for his injuries and faces a “long” recovery process.<\/p>\n
\nA statement shared on Hilton’s website read: “Perez’s condition remains serious but stable. He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days.<\/p>\n
\n“His treatment and recovery will be a long process. We are grateful that Perez was able to spend time with his mother and sister yesterday.”<\/p>\n
