KATSEYE<\/strong><\/a> is breaking their silence for the first time since the announcement of Sophia Laforteza<\/strong><\/a>‘s hiatus.<\/p>\n

If you didn’t know, the 23-year-old girl group member announced she is taking a temporary leave of absence<\/a> from the girl group to focus on her mental health.<\/p>\n

During the group’s performance without her on Saturday (August 8) at Head In The Clouds 2026<\/em><\/strong> in Pasadena, Calif., member Lara Raj<\/strong> addressed the audience in a now viral clip being shared on social media.<\/p>\n

“Before we jump into our next song, our sister Sophia<\/strong> cannot be here with us tonight. But I ask: can you guys please send Sophia<\/strong> your love?” she declared as the group roared back in support. Watch it here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sophia Misses Another KATSEYE Event<\/h3>\n

Fans were also notified by Weverse Global that Sophia<\/strong> will not be able to participate<\/a> in KATSEYE<\/strong>‘s Wild<\/em> Pre-Order 1:1 Video Call Fan Sign Event scheduled for August 21, and those that applied for or won a video call with Sophia<\/strong> can request a refund for their purchase.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the month,\u00a0Sophia\u00a0<\/strong>was noticeably missing from the premiere of their new movie\u00a0KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS<\/em>\u00a0in Los Angeles. At the time, the ladies that did attend the premiere said that\u00a0Sophia<\/strong>\u00a0was \u201csick\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and wasn\u2019t able to be there.<\/p>\n

Last month,\u00a0Sophia<\/strong>\u00a0also\u00a0dropped out of performing<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0KATSYE\u00a0<\/strong>at the\u00a02026 Hinterland Music Festival<\/em>\u00a0in Iowa.<\/p>\n

Sophia<\/strong>\u00a0is now the second member of\u00a0KATSEYE<\/strong>\u00a0to take a step back from the band after\u00a0Manon Bannerman<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0announced her own\u00a0temporary leave of absence<\/a>. In June,\u00a0<\/strong>Sophia\u00a0<\/strong>addressed rumors surrounding\u00a0Manon<\/strong>\u2018s hiatus.<\/a><\/p>\n
