Bobby Bones<\/a> <\/b>has been reunited with his Dancing With the Stars<\/a> <\/i>mirrorball trophy.<\/p>\n \u201cLook what just came in the mail,\u201d Bones, 46, wrote via Instagram<\/span><\/a> on Thursday, August 6, sharing a pic of the DJ sitting on a couch beside his hard-earned championship trophy.<\/p>\n Bones, who won DWTS <\/i>season 27 with professional dancing partner Sharna Burgess<\/b>, revealed in November 2025 that he mailed back his mirrorball<\/span><\/a> to ABC after hearing former host Tom Bergeron<\/b>\u2019s comments about his victory. (Bergeron, 71, claimed in a now-viral Parade <\/i>interview that he was \u201cshocked\u201d by Bones\u2019 win.)<\/p>\n \u201cI try not to get my feelings hurt, especially about stuff like this, but this was hurtful,\u201d Bones said in a social media video at the time, addressing his decision to return the trophy. \u201cAnd not because of what was said, but really who said it.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cI didn\u2019t even wanna be on the show. I had no intention of being on Dancing with the Stars<\/i>. I was working on a different show at the network, they asked me to go on the show to promote. Am I supposed to not show up and work hard? Am I supposed to not give it freaking everything that I have? Am I supposed to, like, throw it and not win? \u2026 Six years later, I\u2019m still catching strays out of nowhere. So, I sent the trophy back. They don\u2019t want me to be a part of the show, obviously. So I don\u2019t wanna be somewhere that doesn\u2019t want me to be there.\u201d<\/p>\n Bergeron ultimately issued an apology to Bones.<\/p>\n You have successfully subscribed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n \u201cI felt terrible that the way I phrased my honest surprise at your win,\u201d he told Bones on a March episode of the music host\u2019s \u201cBobbyCast\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a>. \u201cI think the question to me was, \u2018What\u2019s the most shocking elimination?\u2019 I couldn\u2019t remember a shocking elimination. And I wish I had said, \u2018Well, this wasn\u2019t a shock, but it was a surprise when Bobby Bones won.\u2019 I wasn\u2019t the only one surprised, Bobby. But the fact that it hurt your feelings and that you sent your trophy back, I felt terrible about that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
