When Bear Grylls<\/strong> signs up for TV projects, it\u2019s so much more than just a job.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to stand for something good and that\u2019s going to be empowering for families to watch together,\u201d Bear, 52, exclusively told Us<\/i> before the premiere of The Chosen in the Wild With Bear Grylls<\/i> on Sunday, August 9. \u201cIt\u2019s hard sometimes as a parent to know what to watch with your kids and the values that are going to come out. I actually do pride ourselves on that.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his new TV venture with Prime Video, Grylls follows the cast of the groundbreaking historical drama The Chosen<\/i> as they take on challenges across forests, deserts and canyons.<\/p>\n

Cameras roll as Bear leads actors Jonathan Roumie<\/strong>, Paras Patel<\/strong>, Elizabeth Tabish<\/strong>, Noah James<\/strong> and Luke Dimyan<\/strong> through Utah\u2019s treacherous Castle Valley, Canyonlands, the Ausable River, the Colorado River, the Great Basin Desert and the Adirondack Forest.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe countdown to Easter Sunday is on, and many in Hollywood are celebrating their faith out loud. Whether through social media and podcasts or TV shows and films, several celebrities aren\u2019t afraid to share a glimpse into their spiritual journey with fans. For some religious leaders, it\u2019s a decision that should be met with love [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThat is an intentional kind of thing as a team is we try and keep integrity to what we do and true to how we are as individuals,\u201d Bear explained. \u201cFaith has been a part of my life, as is respect for the outdoors and a love of a fellow man and doing our best and all that good stuff. We try and keep those values at the heart of the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI\u2019m proud that Chosen in the Wild<\/i> is such a sort of firm, family-friendly, positive, faith-forward, family-impacting type show.\u201d<\/p>\n

While working on Running Wild With Bear Grylls<\/i>, Bear would often have conversations with celebrities centered less around faith and more on their personal battles and triumphs.<\/p>\n

In Chosen in the Wild<\/i>, he\u2019s excited to say he \u201ccan get straight into\u201d religion and spirituality.<\/p>\n

\u201cViewers, I think, really want that. That\u2019s why they\u2019re watching the show,\u201d he said. \u201cThey want to hear, \u2018How has it affected you?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
