Stranger Things<\/em> costars David Harbour<\/strong><\/a> and Millie Bobby Brown<\/strong><\/a> will continue their on-screen father-daughter relationship in a new project.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the guys did a terrific job on season 5, but I just don\u2019t think you could pay off that relationship in the way that people wanted it to pay off. I just don\u2019t think there\u2019s a way,\u201d Harbour, 51, told Deadline<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Thursday, August 6, referring to how Stranger Things<\/em> creators Matt Duffer<\/strong> and Ross Duffer<\/strong> wrapped up the storyline between his character, Jim Hopper, and Brown\u2019s character, Eleven, when the show ended in December 2025.<\/p>\n

Harbour added that he and Brown, 22, wanted to give fans the same \u201cchemistry\u201d their characters had in Stranger Things<\/em> with their upcoming Netflix show, a yet-to-be-titled spy drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will surprise you,\u201d Harbour said of the show, calling it a \u201cwild and rich\u201d project with \u201cdeep emotion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tStranger Things costars Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour have a long and complicated relationship. The two have worked closely on the show in their roles as Eleven and her adoptive father, Jim Hopper, respectively, for a decade, starting when Brown was 11 years old. Now, Brown and Harbour\u2019s offscreen relationship is being dissected following [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He further gushed about Brown, \u201cI\u2019m really excited to be back with her. I love working with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

The upcoming project, helmed by Adolescence<\/em> cocreator Jack Thorne<\/strong>, will see Harbour portray disgraced FBI agent Matt Wolfe, who now works as a security expert. He finds himself pulled back into his old life when his estranged FBI agent daughter, Rebecca, disappears.<\/p>\n

Brown teased her collaboration with Harbour<\/a> during her appearance on the June 24 live episode of the \u201cHappy Sad Confused\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cFather-daughter is where we live, but Netflix will always be our home,\u201d she teased. \u201cThe David Harbour project is sooner than expected, and it\u2019s David\u2019s idea, so kudos to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The project comes nine months after a report alleged that Brown accused Harbour of harassment and bullying in a complaint to Netflix. Despite the claims, the costars continued to support each other publicly while promoting the final season of Stranger Things<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Harbour eventually addressed the alleged complaint<\/a> while speaking to Variety<\/em> in June.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a show that went on for 10 years. We worked together for 10 years during her formative teenage years, playing father and daughter,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cI don\u2019t know if people have families and friends that you spend a lot of time with for 10 years \u2014 you occasionally get in arguments, disagreements.\u201d<\/p>\n
