Anna Faris<\/a> and Michelle Buteau, both 49, supported their Spa Weekend co-star as they developed a close friendship while filming the comedy film.<\/p>\n \t\t\t<\/p>\n
Isla said: “Honestly, it was so much fun. I feel like from the time we did the table read, we all just got along. I’ve known Anna for years, and Leslie and I had made a movie together, and Michelle, I was a fan from afar.<\/p>\n
\n“But we all just had a natural chemistry, and we’re all girls\u2019 girls. So, there was a lot of support for each other and encouragement, and it was really special.”<\/p>\n
\nLast November, the Scooby-Doo alum said going through a divorce feels like “a different grief”, but she has enjoyed “creating a new identity” following the breakdown of her marriage to the 54-year-old Borat star, with whom she has three children.<\/p>\n
\nIsla told NewBeauty Magazine: “I\u2019m not going to lie … it has been a really challenging time. <\/p>\n
\n“I definitely feel like there\u2019s something about the divorce club that anyone in it understands in a way other people don\u2019t. It\u2019s a different grief. <\/p>\n
\n“I feel like creating a new identity after your divorce is so fun, though. <\/p>\n
\n“You get to reflect on your values and goals, explore new interests, focus on what you want and rebuild your sense of self.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Wedding Crashers entertainer also admitted there have been “lots of positives” to come from her divorce, including reconnecting with people who were not at “the forefront” during her marriage. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: “It\u2019s a lot like that, reconnecting to maybe passions you had when you were a kid, but they fell by the wayside when you were raising a family. <\/p>\n
\n“All the relationships that you have in your life that were not necessarily the forefront of the way that you spend your time, because you\u2019re married. <\/p>\n
\n“Those relationships that are so supportive and brilliant and often really, really old get to retake centre stage. I think that\u2019s a really exciting thing.”<\/p>\n
\nAlso that month, Isla said rebuilding her life after her divorce was “challenging but deeply rewarding”.<\/p>\n
\nThe Now You See Me: Now You Don’t cast member told Elle Decoration magazine: “Trying to create a new life from a grassroots level, at least emotionally, has been challenging, but deeply rewarding. I\u2019m enjoying this new version of my life. I don\u2019t need to party in my house anymore. I love to get in the bath. I\u2019ll light some candles, bring in my laptop, and put on something on Netflix. That\u2019s as exciting as it gets.”<\/p>\n
