Demi Schweers<\/strong> is sharing a heartbreaking update on her battle with multiple sclerosis<\/a> after a troll claimed her health struggles are \u201cfake.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSharing this update with this vile comment as a glimpse of [what] having a most[ly] invisible illness is like,\u201d Schweers, 32, wrote via a TikTok caption<\/a> on Thursday, August 7, alongside a screengrab of the social media user\u2019s comment that read, \u201cWhat happened to Demi\u2019s fake MS journey?\u201d<\/p>\n

The influencer \u2014 who has been vocal about her battle with the autoimmune disease and polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS) \u2014 then revealed that she got some \u201creally s***ty news\u201d after having an MRI a few weeks prior.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince 2020 I have been completely stable MS wise, no new lesions,\u201d Schweers explained in the heartfelt video. \u201cBut I just got the news that I have a new lesion, so that really sucks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking to Stellar on Saturday, November 22, Blair, 53, confirmed she had been relapse-free for a \u201ccouple of years\u201d and shared her gratitude that her condition was not worsening. \u201cThat, of course, means the world [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As her new reality sunk in, Schweers started to get tears in her eyes.<\/p>\n

\u201cF***. I don\u2019t even know what to say,\u201d she confessed. \u201cI just hope that insurance approves this new medication and I\u2019m able to get stable again and everything stays the same. OK, I need to process this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the brain and spinal cord where the body\u2019s immune system \u201cattacks the protective cover of nerve cells,\u201d according to Mayo Clinic<\/a>. The illness can lead to scars or lesions and blocked signals from the brain can create issues with movement, vision and balance.<\/p>\n

Demi, who shares two children with husband Tom Schweers<\/strong>, expanded upon her health issues in the TikTok caption, calling out the troll who claimed she was making it all up.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been really in my head the past few days and trying to stay as positive as possible,\u201d she wrote, noting once again that she was diagnosed with MS<\/a> in 2020.<\/p>\n

Demi recalled that at her \u201cworst\u201d she couldn\u2019t walk, lost her vision in her right eye and had \u201cchronic fatigue and brain fog.\u201d<\/p>\n

The content creator explained that since 2021, she\u2019s been \u201cstable\u201d and found a medication that was \u201cworking\u201d and made her feel \u201cgood\u201d during her back-to-back pregnancies. (Demi welcomed daughter Nora in May 2023 and son Theodore in June 2024.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThat all changed this past Sunday. I had an MRI two and a half weeks ago and as this has become standard for me I wasn\u2019t too worried about my results,\u201d Demi shared. \u201cI logged and and saw the words \u2018NEW LESION: present, upper vertical cord\u2019 & \u2018T1characteristics: T1 hypointensity.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFormer Try Guys YouTuber Ned Fulmer has been facing a private health battle for more than a decade \u2014 and has now decided to share his story. \u201cI have MS,\u201d Fulmer, 38, exclusively told Us Weekly before the release of his Sunday, November 23, YouTube video, where he revealed his diagnosis with multiple sclerosis. \u201cI [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She recalled feeling \u201cupset, numb, sad, scared\u201d and countless other emotions while trying to process the news.<\/p>\n

Demi revealed that she later received a message from a neurologist she\u2019d \u201cnever spoken to before,\u201d which upped her anxiety about the new lesion.<\/p>\n

After a few days, Demi was told she needed another MRI on her brain, cervical spine and thoracic spine but all tests are being scheduled out at least four to five months in advance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m hoping that with this new finding I\u2019m able to get in sooner,\u201d she added. \u201cAs of right now, I don\u2019t really know what this means for me in my health and I\u2019m honestly a little bit scared.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Iris Nutrition<\/a> founder noted, \u201cThe only thing I can do right now is wait to find out when my MRI will be scheduled and go from there. I\u2019m gonna continue to live my life as normally as I can without getting in my head.\u201d<\/p>\n

She concluded by saying that she chose to share her story so that \u201csomeone else in their health journey feels less alone.\u201d<\/p>\n
