Megan Park<\/strong> formed a friendship with Shailene Woodley<\/strong><\/a> while working together on The Secret Life of the American Teenager<\/em> \u2014 but is there a chance the former costars will reunite on Sterling Point<\/em>?<\/p>\n

\u201cThat I would love. I always am like, \u2018Hey Shai,’\u201d Park, 40, exclusively told Us<\/em> about collaborating with Woodley, 34, on her other projects. \u201cShe\u2019s also in The Fallout. I love working with people that are my friends and actors that I\u2019ve worked with in the past. It\u2019s so fun. So why not?\u201d<\/p>\n

Park credited The Secret Life of the American Teenager<\/em> for bringing Woodley into her life.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThere were so many wonderful things that came out of that show really,\u201d she noted. \u201cLike my best friend Shailene Woodley, who still to this day is my ride or die.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Secret Life of the American Teenager<\/em>, which ran from 2008 to 2013, followed teenager Amy (Woodley) as she experienced pregnancy and parenthood while also struggling with everything that comes from being a high school student.<\/p>\n

In addition to Woodley and Park, the ABC Family drama starred Kenny Baumann, India Eisley, Greg Finley, Daren Kagasoff, Francia Raisa, Molly Ringwald <\/strong>and Steve Schirripa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was such a different time [when I filmed The Secret Life] so it\u2019s hard to compare that and [my new show Sterling Point] because it was truly a different era,\u201d Park recalled. \u201cAnd it was such a wonderful cast. All those people I\u2019m still really close with.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cAnd I learned a lot about just being on a set and what everyone\u2019s role is and getting so comfortable on a set. But it was a very different kind of show to make.\u201d<\/p>\n

Park was grateful for the experience<\/a> because of the lessons she learned.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just didn\u2019t always feel like when I was in many different projects \u2014 not specifically that \u2014 it didn\u2019t feel authentic to how I was actually experiencing my young adulthood or seeing my peers experience theirs or talking about things or in a way that felt really natural,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Park has since shifted to work behind the screen with The Fallout, My Old Ass<\/em> and now Prime Video\u2019s Sterling Point<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely did not know this was going to be the path for me,\u201d Park told Us about getting the chance to create a TV show. \u201cI definitely feel like I am trying to create a more authentic experience for the YA [young adult] space and genre \u2014 and also just for the actors.\u201d<\/p>\n
