Mason Gooding<\/strong><\/a> and Emily Rudd<\/strong><\/a> have joined the cast of Crawl 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Paramount is making a follow-up to the 2019 creature feature that starred Kaya Scodelario<\/strong><\/a> and Barry Pepper<\/strong> as a father-daughter duo being hunted by a bunch of ferocious alligators during a Category 5 hurricane in Florida.<\/p>\n

The new thriller is reportedly going to be set in New York, and gators will crowd the “streets and sewers after a hurricane hits the city,” per The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Director Alexandre Aja<\/strong> is returning to direct the sequel, which is set to go into production later this month in Hungary.<\/p>\n

Mason<\/strong> is best known for his starring role as Chad Meeks-Martin in the Scream<\/strong><\/a><\/em> franchise. He starred in Olivia Wilde<\/strong><\/a>‘s feature directorial debut Booksmart<\/em> and reunited with her in new movie I Want Your Sex<\/em>. Mason<\/strong> is also currently starring in Netflix’s Kevin Hart<\/strong><\/a> comedy 72 Hour<\/em>s. He’s also the son of Cuba Gooding Jr<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Emily <\/strong>is one of the lead roles in Netflix’s super-successful live-action adaptation of One Piece<\/strong><\/a><\/em>. She’s also set to start in Whalefall <\/em>with Josh Brolin<\/strong><\/a> and Austin Abrams<\/strong><\/a> this October and previously starred in Netflix movie Fear Street: 1978<\/em>.<\/p>\n
