Reese Witherspoon<\/strong><\/a> is providing an update on her father, John Draper Witherspoon<\/strong>, after he was taken to a hospital.<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old star of The Morning Show<\/em> took to her Instagram Stories on Friday (August 7) hours after reports surfaced that her dad had fallen and been rushed to the emergency room.<\/p>\n

The Morning Show<\/em> is coming to an end with season 5: Read Reese<\/strong> and Jennifer Aniston<\/strong>‘s statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cEarlier today, several outlets reported that my dad was taken to the hospital after a fall. I want to let everyone know that he is fine now. He is being taken care of by wonderful doctors and nurses,” she wrote in a post.<\/p>\n

Sources told Page Six<\/a><\/em> that John<\/strong>, 84, was found “face down on the concrete by the pool of his Nashville, Tennessee condo on Friday. <\/p>\n

A nearby resident reportedly noticed John<\/strong> from their balcony and alerted the doorman. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe doorman and building manager rolled him over and they said, \u2018Dr. Witherspoon<\/strong>, are you OK?\u2019\u201d the source claimed. \u201cHe blinked his eyes, and that\u2019s when he was rushed to the hospital.<\/p>\n

John<\/strong> is a retired otolaryngologist who served as a lieutenant colonel in the United States army reserves. As a surgeon, he specialized in issues concerning the ears, nose, and throat.<\/p>\n

“Thank you to everyone who reached out. It means the world to our family,” Reese<\/strong> concluded her post.<\/p>\n

She reunited with her ex, Ryan Phillippe<\/strong><\/a>, earlier this year to celebrate the NYU graduation of their son Deacon<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n
