Rodriguez\/Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-boltinhouse-has-lost-her-crown\">Boltinhouse has lost her crown<\/h2>\n<p>Just ahead of the Miss USA competition, CEO Thom Brodeur put out a release on Wednesday, August 5.<\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/officialthombrodeur\/p\/DbrYgANGQyw\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instagram<\/a>, he revealed that Boltinhouse has been stripped of her crown.<\/p>\n<p>No longer Miss North Carolina, she is accused of violating the organization\u2019s standards.<\/p>\n<p>Titles like Miss North Carolina USA, the organization reasons, are not \u201ctrinkets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rather, they are investments of trust. Trust which, Brodeur explains, Boltinhouse has broken.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DbrYgANGQyw\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-did-boltinhouse-do\">What did Boltinhouse do?<\/h2>\n<p>Brodeur\u2019s statement did not explain the specific violations that cost Boltinhouse her crown.<\/p>\n<p>However, the statement stated, very broadly, that the organization \u201cdoes not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia, nor language that strips any person of their dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That is a very good policy \u2014 but does not specify <em>which <\/em>aspect of that she broke. <\/p>\n<p>With exceptions of figures like Garrett Yrigoyen on <em>The Bachelorette<\/em>, very few scandals like these involve some sort of Macavity-from-<em>Cats <\/em>figure who has violated every rule in the book.<\/p>\n<p>Mere weeks ago, however, an explosive report by the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/thencbeat.com\/miss-north-carolina-usa-old-tweets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NC Beat<\/a><\/em> revealed Boltinhouse\u2019s troubling social media history.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\" data-theme=\"dark\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Miss USA CEO Thom Brodeur said Wednesday Brittany Boltinhouse agreed to step down from her role as Miss North Carolina after her conduct violated the standards of the pageant organization. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/t2wHwU6zEc\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/t2wHwU6zEc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 TMZ (@TMZ) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TMZ\/status\/2085362679812923687?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\">August 6, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-years-of-racist-posts-it-turns-out\">Years of racist posts, it turns out<\/h2>\n<p>According to what are now widespread reports, Boltinhouse previously tweeted under an alias, Sosa the Stallion.<\/p>\n<p>From 2017 until 2019, she allegedly repeatedly used the n-word.<\/p>\n<p>On the plus side, she did not appear to be <em>directly <\/em>attacking individuals with the use of the slur. Her use in the sentences appears to have been for emphasis.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time \u2026 the thing about slurs is that their use is almost always an automatic attack against the entire demographic to which they refer.
